It's okay now

Chapter IV: Tragedy

We were in the front of the class now and inaamin kong kinakabahan ako. This was out of my expectations na sa dinami-dami ng taong dito sa room, si akira pa ang napili.

I was observing the situation calmly nang biglang maramdaman ang pag galaw ng lupa.

"It's an earthquake everyone, don't panic and remember to duck, cover, and hold" sigaw teacher ko sa buong klase.

hahakbang na sana ako paalis sa kinatatayoan ko ng tawagin ako ni akira.

"ingat ka" malumanay niyang sabi.

I was confused sa tono ng boses niya habang sinasabi niya iyon. It's too uncomfortable.

I was about to go out slowly, when suddenly I couldn't feel my legs. Wala akong naramdaman na ano mang sakit while i fell on the ground. I can hear akira's shouting nonstop and her voice sounds so worried.

"luck!!!"

"Why is she screaming suddenly" tanong ko sa sarili habang hindi pa rin makapag isip ng maayos.

"What's this sensation, I can't feel my legs, am i dreaming?" dugtong ko.

"What happened?" sigaw ng professor namin while looking at me.

I can't hear akira's voice anymore, but i can hear the faint sound of crying.

"Sir?, what's that look in your eyes?"

I can tell that his eyes were weird while looking at me, his eyes were trembling.

"Luck, stay with me" sabi niya sa garalgal na boses.

"Why? what happened sir? why are u trembling, why is there a worry in your face?"

"Luck, stay with me. The medics will be here soon"

I was shocked sa sinabi ng professor namin.

Bigla akong nahimasmasan ng marinig ang umiiyak na boses ni akira.

"n-no, luck"

I look directly at the ceiling of our room.

"Why is it empty? am i hallucinating?"

I look at my left side, i can see my professor holding my hand and at my right side was akira who's trembling in fear.

Iniangat ko ng bahagya ang aking katawan.

"Luck, don't move. just stay still" sabi ng professor ko while holding my hand. bakas sa mukha niya ang takot, pag aalala, at pagka malungkot.

This time, ipinilit ko ng iangat ang katawan ko. I felt a sudden painful sensation, so painful that i feel like I'm dying. It's coming from the lower part of my body.

I slowly looked into it.

I was greatly shocked. I almost passed out from the shocking sight in front of my eyes. I can see blood everywhere, one thing for sure, I know that it's my blood. I followed closely to where the blood might lead me to.

Tears started to fall in my eyes when i saw the horrible sight of my legs. So that's why I can't see the ceilings earlier because nabagsakan na pala ako. The debris from the ceilings of our room up to the third floor torn my legs horribly.

I couldn't control my tears from falling. That's when I suddenly felt the pain. It all comes through my body suddenly that i almost passed out.

"Arghhhhhh" sigaw ko habang pinipigilang hindi maluha.

"Luck, it will be okay, don't move so suddenly" sabi ng professor ko habang pinapakalma ako pero kita pa rin sa mukha niya ang kaba.

"20 minutes has already passed since i called the medics and they're still not here, I should go take a look at the situation outside. Akira, watch him. I'll be back suddenly" sabi niya habang nagmamadaling lumabas ng room.

"akira? are you still there?" i asked gently. I can't see clearly now, i think I'm losing my sight.

"y-yes, I'm still here" she said while still crying.

"am i gonna die?" i asked again.

mas lalong lumakas pa ang iyak ni akira ng marinig niya ako.

"now it's confirmed" isip ko

"akira? are u still there?" i asked her again

"yes, i am still here" malumanay niyang sagot

"akira, I don't want to die" my face is now wet from my own tears.

I can feel akira's tears falling at my hands.

"I'm-I'm so sorry, If I-I can't help you" humihikbi niyang sabi habang mahigpit ang hawak sa aking kamay

"akir-" hindi ko na natapos ang sasabihin ko. I closed my eyes slowly as if accepting my fate.

The last thing i heard was akira's scared voice, calling my name before i fully closed my eyes.
