(If you haven't already, you can go to 'My Worksheet' book and read Ethan's introductory page to get some insight to his family before or after you read this.)

When the outbreak started, Ethan's father were ordered by the government to take the plane they had at the base they lived close by and fly to a location with as much supplies as they could collect. The area they are at hasn't been badly touched by the disasters, it's small and was barely populated too. They have been there since the beginning. Close to them, they have an oil rig working again and therefore have gasoline for their vehicles and aircrafts.

(I haven't figured all this out yet, so I'm just writing something right now. Felt like I needed to explain why they still manage to fly and drive. But for the others that don't live there, the fuel is limited and expensive now though, because of the poor access to it.)

Though it's far from what it used to be, they are what's left of the government.

Ethan's family are therefore safe at one of the few places doing better than most. But the leaders there are now hesitant about bringing any more survivors from the places they have managed to get in contact with.

...

Ethan's former military team is going on a trip to a city that has been made after the apocalypse, to get an impression of how it's going out there. It's a quick in and out stealth mission. They are going to act normal and check out the city, then bring back a report.

A year ago, Edward Stone, Ethan's father, joined the team to help out. Edward originally did something else important in the government. But because of Ethan's absence, he was asked to also be an extra to his team, from the lack of numbers. He was someone that they knew would work well with the team, being a close friend and considers them family. And he has past experience as a very skilled sniper.

Mary Stone, Ethan's mother, argues for Edward and the new team leader to bring her on the trip. Eventually, after a lot of nagging and convincing, they reluctantly agree.

They haven't held a funeral for Ethan yet. Mary's having a hard time coming to terms with their first born's death. But after they found out that there had been a city created and maybe more, she used that as a new argument that Ethan might still be alive.

The team wish they could believe the same, but it looks hopeless that Ethan had made it until now. They haven't heard anything, no signs at all. Most cities have managed to communicate with the others, and if Ethan was alive, he would've at least tried to contact them.

But Ethan just hasn't been able to get to the ones that has the ability to communicate like that, when he had been close, something happened and he was forced to leave, to protect you and your kids.

They asked the few places they have contact with, the ones that are located nearest the area they know Ethan was since he was going to the airport around the time when the outbreak started. They were told it was especially bad in that area, and they hadn't heard of any survivors from anywhere near there and much less of people travelling in and around it. If Ethan had been on a plane already, they would know for sure that he didn't make it, because no one would survive the crash all the planes made during the chaos.

...

Ethan gave most people he met a nickname. Either from their personalities, after an incident or as a way to make fun of them. After some time working with a more regular team, he gave his team members codenames starting on B.

Ethan Stone was the leader of an elite military force. When the government or something needed a team like them, they often called in the B-Boys.

They all got codenames starting on B. It was an inside joke they had and then they just started being referred to as the B-Boys. They put together the best of the best, and got the best team leader to lead them. When leading his team on a mission, Stone never missed his mark.

It started out with the fact that many on the team already happened to be called something on B the first few that were nicknamed. Everyone called the two brothers on the team for the Brooks brothers for example. And they all just said Boss when referring or speaking to Ethan.

After he realised that, and gave the other's nicknames over time, the team was just referred to as the B-Boys later on.
Now most of them go by those as their everyday nicknames. They even got their patch names on their uniforms changed to it. Ethan's patch is still Stone though.

The team considers each other family and are all very included into Ethan's family, meaning his parents and siblings lives too.

(Go to 'My Worksheet' book on my profile to read Ethan's team's introductory!!)

The team gave Edward a code name after he joined the team. He got 'Bingo', because he's a good sniper and to make fun of the fact that he's the oldest of the team.

There's also a new guy, Gabriel, who wasn't on the team when Ethan led it.

...

Mary is almost like a mother to some of the guys on Ethan's former team, having taken them in as family. They lived close to the military base Ethan worked and lived at, where also his team was located.

He was in charge of a lot more soldiers and was also an instructor sometimes, teaching from the base. Breezy worked as the main pilot from the base and had people he were in charge of so to speak, teaching others to fly. Bullet, with Bandit as his second, had theirs, and the rest worked with something under them again. Ethan was in charge of the base and everything going on there and the team's operations when they were assigned any. Whenever he was going on a mission, the people on his team were the ones he brought with him, unless they needed someone specific.

They all specialise in certain skills and work well together. Edward was the only one not working under Ethan, he has a higher rank and does different work for the military, but he worked from the same base. And his wife, Mary, was his secretary, she started working again after their youngest moved out.

Jake had an apartment in town like most of the others. But Ethan lived at the base, and often just strolled over to his parent's house, since they were the base's neighbours after all. Everyone else on the team was often at the Stone's house.

Being a close friend group that considers each other family, they have helped each other get through the years after the outbreak and only grown closer.

...

Everyone on the team and Mary dresses a bit more scrappy and dirty than the guards staying with the plane, hoping to blend in the city they're going to. They fly to an airstrip that isn't too far, leave guards with the plane and drive the truck out of the aircraft to get to the city. Seeing the city they go in smaller groups to see as much as possible.

Eventually meeting up later, they sit down somewhere to talk about what they've seen. Mary suddenly glances around.

"Eddy." She says patting her husband's shoulder as she looks around. "I have that gut feeling. The one about my children."

Edward frowns. "What do you mean?"

"I.. I'm not sure, I just have to.." Mary start's jogging in a direction.

"Mary!" Edward shouts, he groans and run after her.

The others also run after them. They follow her around a corner and see her staring at something. There's a truck parked with the back doors open, in the opening sits a woman with a child.
