Next morning, Ethan feels awful, having barely slept all night. He's stretching where he stands as he converse lightly with some of the boys around.

"Ethan!" He then hears shouting and whips his head towards it. "Ethan!" Parker yells and comes running in, tears streaming down his face looking frantically around for him, clutching his teddy.

"Parker!" He goes toward him. "What is it?"

"Yn! Won't wake up!" Parker cries, Ethan runs and lift him up, hurrying to your room, Jason following. They barge into your room and find you laying in the bed. Ethan puts Parker down and tries to shake you awake but you won't. You're sweaty and extremely warm. Ethan wastes no time and lifts you up, carrying you out.

"Parker, let Jason take you." He tells the boy and Parker lifts his arms just as Jason goes pull him up, knowing he won't be able to keep up with them running.

They reach the medical bay and yell for the doctor, who luckily wakes up early and was already there. He examines you and see that your wound is infected. (I don't know how these things really works, so just bear with me..)

"I'm sorry. She needs (Something, I don't know.)" The doctor tells them, Jason looks down sadly.

"Okay, then give it to her." Ethan says.

"We don't have any more left."

"Well, where can we get more?" Ethan asks desperately.

"Well.. There might, but only might, be some left at a pharmacy, but that's miles away." He says and Ethan immediately goes toward the door, but the doctor stops him. "But it's hours away and with the hours it takes to drive back.." He looks down at you unconscious on his patient bed. "You won't make it back in time." He tells him sadly. Edward looks at you feeling devastated, Parker looks around confused at what's happening. Ethan lifts you up again.

"Ethan? What are you.." Jason asks but he's is already out the door. They run to catch up."Ethan! What are you doing?"

"She'll get the (something) when I get there and not after I come back, it lessens the timeframe by half." He says as he lays you in the passenger seat of their fastest vehicle.

Parker wiggles in Jason's hold and he lets him down before he jumps out of his arms. He runs to the car, about to reach for the car door handle he can barely reach, but Ethan grabs him and lean down.

"Parker, I need you to stay with Jason." He tells him, but Parker panics and gets hysterical.

  "No! No!"

  "Parker, please."

"No! You promised! Never separate!" He cries.

Ethan looks at him for a moment, remembering how he reacted once when the two of you and some from the group had went on a run, so Parker had to stay with the rest. But you and Ethan had been separated from the others and struggled to get back, it took you almost two days to get back, and once you did, Parker was a in a horrible state, thinking the two of you had left him.

"Okay." He says and lifts the crying boy into the car. He goes to the other cars and pours out the gasoline to transfer it to that car, Jason helps him. Once done he goes to the driver seat. Jason comes with and they drive off.

...

Getting to the town with the pharmacy, they find it filled with zombies.

"Damn it!" Ethan punches the steering wheel in anger.

Jason and him starts to brainstorm and eventually come up with a plan. After successfully retrieving what you needed they come back to the car, finding Parker trying to do compressions. You had taught him how to do it even though he isn't really strong enough, it's better than nothing. While he was going to stay in the car, Ethan had told him to keep his finger on your pulse and if it stopped he was gonna do compressions until they came back.

"No, no, no." Ethan runs even faster and burst open the passenger door. "How long!?" Ethan asks worriedly and takes over compressions. Parker leans back on your lap, tears running down his face.

"Now." He tells him, it had happened just before they came. Ethan give Jason everything they had retrieved and he started getting the syringe ready, then inject you.

"Come on, Yn." Ethan tells you.

Jason checks your pulse, nothing, Ethan doesn't stop compressions.

"Come on. Come on, baby. Come on!" He exclaims, feeling his eyes water.

After a long moment of doing compression, even continuing when Jason thought it was too late, but Ethan refused to stop, you gasp in your unconscious state and they let out a relieved breath. Parker cries and buries his head into your neck hugging you close.

...

Ethan is sitting by your bed side in the medbay. He hasn't been able to sleep since they came back, just waiting for you to wake up. Parker sit on his lap, but also not able to sleep.

"Hey." Annie comes in. Ethan looks up at her, looking exhausted. "Go, get some sleep, both of you. I'll stay with her tonight." She offers and before he gets the chance to decline the offer Parker yawns.

Ethan carries Parker with him to the bunk room, getting some sympathetic looks from the people as they pass them. He lays Parker down on the bunk bed beside Jason's, and sits down on it with a sigh.

"One.. The one night I don't sleep with them in my arms, this happens.." He lets out an exasperated breath and throws his head into his hands.

"She's going to be okay." Jason reassures him.

Then they hear soft sniffling and soft sobs from Parker and Ethan immediately turns to lay down, holding him close and talking soothingly and reassuringly to him. Parker falls asleep, exhausted.

"He thought she had left him.." Ethan tells Jason, lying face towards the bunk he's in beside them. "His mother killed herself with pills. He tried to wake her up, but she didn't.." He tells him. Jason sighs sadly, feeling sympathetic for the toddler.

...

The next day, you wake up, but are told to take it easy. Late at night Ethan comes to your room, knocking and opening the door to get your attention. You look up from cuddling the sleeping boy in your arms.

"Can I come home?" He pleads, looking at you. You give him a soft smile, reassuring him as you open your arms for him to come lay in the bed with Parker between you, like you always do.
