Reo's POV:
I just woke up to the blaring sound of my alarm, groaning at the realization that it's Wednesday—the day I usually struggle to find motivation. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I reluctantly checked the date on my phone, confirming my dismay. Wednesdays always seem to drag on, and today feels no different. But there's something that pushes me to get out of bed, something or rather someone—Nag. Nag has this way of making even the most mundane days brighter, whether it's with a witty remark or a comforting presence. So, despite my initial reluctance, I know deep down that seeing Nag today will bring a bit of light to this dreary Wednesday. With a sigh, I push myself up and begin to prepare for the day, reminding myself that seeing Nag will make it all worthwhile.
I got myself ready and packed up my things for the day. After everything was set, I walked out the door and hopped into a cab. I told the driver where I needed to go—Nagi's house—and we set off on the road. During the ride, I kept myself occupied with my phone, scrolling through notifications and messages. The city was waking up around me, with people bustling about as they started their day. The cab ride gave me a moment to gather my thoughts and mentally prepare for seeing Nagi. It's always a mix of nerves and anticipation whenever we meet, like catching up with an old friend who knows you inside out. As we approached Nagi's neighborhood, I glanced out the window, taking in the familiar sights that signaled I was almost there.
I've finally arrived at Nagi's apartment building. After paying the cab driver and asking him to wait for me, I entered the building and headed straight for the elevator. I pressed the button for the 16th floor and settled in for the ride. The elevator made a few stops along the way to pick up other passengers, which slowed things down a bit, but eventually, I reached Nagi's floor.
Walking down the corridor, I found Nagi's apartment and punched in the code on the keypad. The door unlocked with a soft click, and I stepped inside, greeted by the familiar scent of Nagi's place—subtle hints of incense and fresh coffee. It always felt like stepping into a sanctuary, a place where I could unwind and be myself. Closing the door behind me, I called out a greeting, eager to see Nagi and start the day together.
I entered Nagi's room, finding him still asleep as usual. I opened the curtains to let in some light and began organizing his things and laying out his clothes. Nagi has always been a bit lazy, often seeing even walking as too much effort. Taking care of these tasks for him gave me a sense of control, though sometimes it felt like I was enabling his laziness.
After making sure everything was in order, I took a deep breath, mentally preparing myself to wake Nagi up. It's always a delicate balance—wanting to be helpful but not wanting to feel like I'm nagging. I approached Nagi's bedside, gently shaking his shoulder and calling his name softly, trying to rouse him from his slumber.
"Nagi, wake up, it's time for school," I persisted, gently nudging him awake. After a few minutes, I heard a groan, a sign that Nagi was beginning to stir. I kept at it, making sure everything was ready for him until he finally opened his eyes and fully woke up. Helping Nagi get up and ready for the day was always a routine filled with sleepy protests and slow starts, but it was a routine I had grown accustomed to.
Nagi finally sat up on the bed, giving me a sleepy glare. I smiled and left the room to give him some privacy to change. While he was getting dressed, I went to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast for both of us. As the aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air, I called out for Nagi to join me. He emerged from his room still looking exhausted, his school uniform slightly askew.
