Author: I've been WAY into Kaiser and Ness after reading that Ness was just an experiment. (I hate you Kaiser more than anything right now.) SO I might had a few characters that I didn't mention before!

Reo's POV:

"Reo, what's the point in hanging out if you're going to stay on your phone all day?" Shidou whined, a frustrated expression on his face.

I glanced up from my phone, feeling a bit guilty. Shidou was right; we were supposed to be hanging out, not me waiting for a text from Nagi that might never come.

"Fine, I'll turn off my phone," I said, powering it down and placing it on 'Do Not Disturb.' I looked at Shidou, waiting for him to come up with an idea for our hangout.

His face lit up with excitement. "Let's go to the mall!" he exclaimed.

I sighed, reluctant but resigned. "Alright, let's go."

We made our way to the mall, Shidou chatting animatedly about the latest stores and his favorite spots to visit. I tried to engage in the conversation, pushing thoughts of Nagi and Isagi to the back of my mind. Shidou's enthusiasm was infectious, and despite my initial reluctance, I found myself starting to enjoy his company.

As we walked through the mall, Shidou dragged me into various stores, trying on clothes and cracking jokes. His energy was relentless, and I had to admit, it was a nice change of pace. We stopped by a video game store, where Shidou excitedly showed me the latest releases.

"Hey, Reo, check this out! This game just came out last week. We should totally play it sometime," Shidou said, his eyes shining with excitement.

"Sure, why not," I replied, smiling despite myself. Shidou's passion for gaming was something I could relate to, and it made the outing a bit more enjoyable. It reminded me that Nagi also loved games, and maybe there was a common thread here that I hadn't fully appreciated.

After a while, we grabbed some food at the food court and found a table to sit down and eat. As we chatted and ate, I realized that hanging out with Shidou wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. He was different from Nagi, but he had his own way of making things fun. Shidou's energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and it was nice to be around someone so lively.

"See, this isn't so bad, right?" Shidou said, nudging me with his elbow.

"Yeah, it's not so bad," I admitted, smiling. Maybe spending time with Shidou wouldn't be such a terrible thing after all. It was a different kind of fun, and who knows, it might even help me see things from a new perspective.

As we continued talking and eating, Shidou brought up a new arcade in the mall. We both decided to go there after finishing our food.

"Hurry up, Reo! You eat so slow!" Shidou groaned as I took another bite of my food. Thankfully for Shidou, it was my last bite.

"All done, let's go," I said, standing up. As we walked towards the arcade, a sudden burst of guilt rushed over me. Oh, that's right. Whenever a new place opened up, Nagi and I would go there together. It was our thing. But today wasn't about that. Today was about me and Shidou's hangout.

I shook off the guilt and focused on the present. Shidou was already ahead of me, practically bouncing with excitement. "Come on, Reo! This is going to be awesome!" he called back.

We entered the arcade, and it was like stepping into a different world. The place was buzzing with energy, filled with flashing lights and the sounds of games and laughter. Shidou immediately gravitated towards a racing game, dragging me along with him.
