I collapsed behind a tree, panting heavily and trembling, it was cold.. tonight wad a foggy one, the moonlight dimmer than i remember.
Once I finally caught my breath I look down at my legs, cut and slashed, bloody..
I cringed at the sight, it looked worse than it felt.
I took a deep breath before rummaging through my bag, trying to find something to stop the bleeding.
"Fuck.. fuck.. fuck.. did I lose them? Where's the first aid kit.."
I mutter softly to myself, my ears perking up at the sound of faint rustling.
I look up and see a figure approaching me.. though I can't see they're face, I can tell they're a female, tall, strawberry blonde hair.. and greenish blueish eyes that seem to glow. Ever so slightly in the dark space around us.
"Hello there little bunny. What are you doing down there?"
They say in a rather odd tone, yet I respond.
"I just needed to catch my breath.. why are you here?"
They pause for a moment, looking down at my legs, I can tell what they're about to say.
"I fell into thorn bushes.. running from knights."
They look me in my eyes and speak, "Would you like to spend the night safe in my house? Your free to leave whenever you see fit."
My ears twitch as I process what they had just said, should I..? I barely know them.. they could be dangerous.. they could be just like him.
...
Why does she sound so familiar..?
"you haven't told me your name."
I say softly, yet firm, looking them dead in the eyes.
"It's guqqie."
