4-- Stumbled upon you🌠

It was dark outside, few hours after the sun had already set below the horizon. The palace guards were standing at every corner, distancing 15 feet from each other.

Lylah was ready. She was wearing a grey hoodie and underneath that was a dull brown dress, just like how a normal girl would be dressed, roaming the streats of Nyxoria. Her face partially covered from the hood.

She glanced a few times through the door, no guard was standing there. Then she peeked through the window, a cold breeze hit her face. Winter is right around the corners. She shivered a little, looking at the big entrance gate of the palace.

Hmm.. I have to sneak out from the backyard. Could just climb through the boundary walls... Yeah that's better..
Nobody's going to know.. Hehehe..

Lylah climbed out of the window cautiously, glancing at the door a few times. There was a big tree, with many long branches, next to her window. That's how she's been sneaking out all those years.

Lylah held the branch of the tree, quickly climbing over it and with one swift motion, slid down from the tree.

Practice makes a ma.. woman perfect..
This time it only took me a minute, yeah I am improving.. Great.

She clapped her hands excitedly, forgetting about the situation for a second.

"What's that sound? It's coming from that side, near princess's quarter." A Guard's voice came. Lylah got alerted.

Oh no.. Run Lylah run..

Lylah quietly sprinted from there, hiding herself behind another tree. Two guards came just then. They circled around the tree, checking here and there until a cat appeared in front of them.

"Look, the sounds were coming from her" One of the guard pointed towards the cat.

"But why's there a cat inside, here? " He asked. "Who cares, come on now. "
Other guard responded, and went away. His acquaintance following behind before giving a last look at the cat.

Phew... That was close..
But that cat.. Ohh she saved me..

Lylah went towards the cat, slowing picking it up and patting it's head slowly. The cat didn't react much but closed it's eyes a little.

"Thanks for saving me little one. But where did you come from.. Huh? " Lylah spoke softly while walking towards the backyard.

"Let's get you out of this place, it's not for free living souls like you. " Lylah came towards the backyard of the palace. After a quick glance at all sides, she went near the boundary and first made the cat climb it then, jumped herself on top of the wall and climbed out of the palace.

It's not really that hard.. But still only once a week when the guards back here takes leave.. Wish they could just stay home forever..

Lylah softly put the cat down and started walking towards the town. The cat looked around, but then Started following Lylah. Lylah stopped, while looking at the cat. She was thinking about something and then.

"Hey.. You want to accompany me to the town. I mean I don't mind that, two's better than one." Lylah smiled a little while looking at the cat and started walking again.

She's too friendly, for I've heard cats usually don't follow anyone and never really allow anyone to pat them just like that. She could be someone's pet. Aww.. Poor baby, I think she got lost...

Lylah was walking, until she saw a few lights coming from front with loud noises of men and women from that side.

"Oh we reached already. I was so lost in thoughts to even notice that. "
