Long Before the Formation of the Earth...
Although many tell the tales of just how our universe might have come about, despite all the research and investigating into the matter, long ago this land, this galaxy was put into motion by those of whom we know very little. Point of fact, peel an ear and listen as those very beings allow us and only sparse few others to hear our true origins, the extent of which would shock even a seasoned traveler with its depravity. Still, there was a light in the darkness swarming all who traipsed in its shadows and that just so happened to come in the form of the one thing no living being can be without: Love.
Hathor, goddess of many realms, adored the vast openness of the skies that stretched on and on with pitch. Most would assume this darkness was terrifying if not entirely debilitating altogether, but not Hathor and her companion, Ra. Instead, both saw it as an opportunity and from it brought about the first solar flare, which was one day called sun by mankind. That day was far in the future, however, and the idea of man was nothing but a passing thought, for the day that came much earlier brought with it a different kind of promise altogether. The promise of future, love. The promise of togetherness, even if only for a fleeting series of hours.
What was this promise? Life. A life unlike any others in existence that would share a bond with its creator like no other. Outstretching one hand toward the darkness and the other toward her new light, Hathor created such a being, though she did not realize how great her power had grown. More than another companion to call daughter, the goddess also created her son. Staring at them from afar, Hathor realized that unlike herself and the other gods, these creations could not breathe in her skies. Quickly as to not lose the very people whom she craved most in her long, at certain times even grueling existence, Hathor decided on making one more thing.
A habitat.
To forever be the home of her children, Hathor brought her hands together as did her companion, Ra. Through their thunderous claps, they brought about the very thing they never realized was possible and life flourished yet again. Sufficed with their creation, the gods found that one of the worlds within their universe was capable of sustaining life, ushering their children there. Happily, the children began to grow on this new land and developed capabilities their parents thought not possible. Begrudgingly, their son wished for more.
Constant corporeal form was never in the cards for the deities, though for their children it was life. So upon the planets' alignment, the gods visited their children when the only path available reared its head, but they found that their son was not as enthusiastic as their daughter. Sol was an angry boy. Relegated to only venturing past what he and his sister called Earth once every so many sun cycles, he wished to have more. It was always more, more, more, with him and his parents grew wary. Can you not be complacent with what both of you have been gifted? His parents inquired. Can you not be appeased with your sister's companionship, Sol?
It only enraged him all the more as he aspired to be in the sky, floating high above this petty realm not fit for someone as esteemed as himself. In his mind, he deserved more. His sibling be damned, he desired more.
Seeing that their son was lonely, Hathor asked Ra what they must do as they could not set foot on Earth without proper alignment, nor could he join them if he was not a deity. Ra outstretched his hand and touched the sun, plucking from it a ball of energy unlike anything else. While it began to shape itself much like that of their childrens, it became something else entirely. It became human, the first of its kind. With it, Ra created more and Hathor added to the flock by molding animals of all manner.
Finally, several new types of companionship were made, though Hathor saw a distinct difference in what called to her son, and her daughter. While Sol appeared to revel in humanity's love for him, Sah adored the animals, biding most of her time with them within the deep, girthy woods. Traveling alongside their human and animal compatriots throughout the world, Hathor was happy to see her children finally at peace and left with Ra upon the planet's disjointing.
