Chapter 6: The Ballad of Madbeard

The day opens to a rising sun in a clear blue sky, with everyone sound asleep in their tents, except for two.

The two Overlords were up and about, Carmilla with a clipboard in hand, and Mikey playing the bugle giving everyone else a morning wake up call.

One that Charlie and Vaggie were not thankful for.

Charlie: *covering her ears* UUUGGGHHH!!!!

Vaggie: Dammit, WHY?!

However, Millie, Clara and Odette woke up immediately due to being used to an early wake up call.

Meanwhile others struggled to get ready for the day. Others known as Angel Dust.

Angel Dust: HEY! Some of us need our beauty sleep 'ere!

Moxxie: Pretty sure it won't stop until we're all out, but at least I could sleep soundly knowing my boss isn't around to watch me sleep.

Angel Dust: *raises an eyebrow* You're boss has a problem.

M and M: We know.

Millie: *shrugs while getting out the tent* But, he wouldn't be Blitz without 'em.

Angel Dust: Fair enough.

Niffty however was looking for a bathroom. In the Great Outdoors.

Niffty: Uhh, where's the bathroom around here?

Mikey: Bathroom? Sure, I'll tell you where the bathroom is kiddo. Would you like a massage and a fruity drink too? How's about a mani-pedi and a facial, while you lay by the hot tub with a platter of crab cakes. *walks away*

With the Little Einsteins behind her laughing at their boss' sarcasm, Niffty crosses her arms unimpressed.

Niffty: I can do without the sarcasm.

The scene cuts to everyone finishes breakfast as they go over today's activities.

Mikey: Okay campers, chow time's over! It's time for the nature walk to Madbeard Lake.

Annie: Why do they call it Madbeard Lake?

June: Well Annie, it's a body of freshwater, surrounded by land-

Mikey: June, she meant the Madbeard part, which was named after Madbeard, the most ruthless Pirate Overlord of the Pride Ring, before Alastor came across him and was one of the last reported Overlords to fall to the Radio Demon.

Everyone listening became interested when he mentioned those facts, before Carmilla began to pick the story up.

Carmilla: And in the middle of Madbeard Lake, lies the Isle of Lilith.

Charlie: Wow, I think my mom told me the story of how that island was named.

Mikey: Then I bet she told you that in the legends, that's where Madbeard buried his bountiful booty.

Angel grew extra interested at that part.

Angel Dust: Booty?

Mikey: *deadpan* As in treasure.

While Angel pouted at that, everyone else's interest grew.

Everyone but Angel and the Overlords: Treasure?
