It was the next morning and my parents were on another work trip. They came home from their dinner after I had gone to sleep and left for the airport before I woke up. I didn't mind it. I liked my alone time, especially now. I thought facing Matt would be hard before, but it got a bit more difficult.I planned not to meet up with the rest of the group today, just wanting to sit in bed and rot. However, I never got to talk with Adrianna last night so I said she could come over. That's why I'm opening the door for her to come in. I'm surprised when she almost tackles me in a hug.
"I basically saw you yesterday" I have a look of confusion on my face as she lets go of me. "Why-"
"Matt told me what happened last night" she cuts me off, blurting out. I feel my stomach drop. I had only just went through the events of last night when I woke up. Talking about all of this with Adrianna wasn't really on my list today.
"Um...okay. Why're you so serious?" I ask with a smile. Except she didn't smile with me; she kept her very serious expression on.
"Because something bad happened, Blair" she closes the front door behind her "You literally went through such a bad thing last night. You can't just pretend you're all fine and okay" I scoff as she talks.
"So I got a little drunk and made a mistake, big deal" I roll my eyes.
"You didn't make a mistake; it's not your fault" she grabs my hand.
"I know" I say keeping my hand away and crossing my arms.
"Blair, it's not your fault" she repeats like I'm deaf or something. I know it's not my fault; there wasn't any way I could have got Micheal off of me.
"I know" I repeat since that's what we're doing I guess. She puts her hands on my shoulders now.
"It's. Not. Your. Fault." I mean, I know it's not my fault, right? Well really, I got myself drunk, went upstairs with Micheal. Maybe it was my fault; I gave him the wrong idea.
"I-..I know" I choke out. She gives me a look like she doesn't believe me, and I find myself embracing her in a hug. I can also find myself sobbing too, even after I tried to be done with that last night. "It is my fault" I choke out in sobs "I went into that bedroom with him; it was basically an invitation for him" but she shakes her head.
"No. Don't ever say that" her voice is hoarse "You did not give him an invitation; you didn't agree to any of it, and you didn't deserve that" I feel bad seeing the tears in her eyes. I'm holding onto her in a tight hug now, but her grip might be tighter.
Matt
I had woken up this morning and all I have done is say goodbye to my parents before they left for work. I can only think about how I messed up when I got all screwed up with the stuff Adrianna said. What's worse is that if maybe I hadn't left her there when she said she loved me, none of the stuff last night would have happened. I would have been by her side all night; I could stop that whole Micheal thing from happening.
"Matt???" I snap out of my daze to see Chris snapping in-front of my face.
"What?" I ask annoyed.
"Carter asked if we could pick him up" he shoves his phone in my face. Usually I love how we all basically hang out every day, but not now.
"I don't feel like driving. Or hanging out today either" I mix around the cereal in my bowl. I see Chris scrunch his eyebrows in confusion.
