Chapter 5 Part 2

 Its hackles raised on its neck, the light passing through the fur of them softly tracing patterns on the wall behind the man. The creature rose up onto its hind legs, dragging the small girl with it as if she were merely a cub in its paws.

Her squeak of fear cut between the tension of the monster and man. Neither of them moved as the beast dropped her down to the floor with a worried lick to her hair.

"Child of core have I harmed you?" it asked with worry, still not allowing the man to step close to her, it's rather large tail blocking his path with ease. Not a hint of fear in the creatures gaze as it shifted its eyes to the man once more. "Or had he been the one to harm you?" it's question rang through the air with a piercing growl.

"You hellish mutt, I hadn't touched her." Mr.Balloon spoke up putting the glove back on annoyed. Though this hadn't calmed the creature it had at the very least moved it tail closer to the girl in an effort to comfort her.

She took a moment, Cassio could barely find her words as she stared up at the skull headed being. "What.. what are you?" she finally squeaked out in an effort to understand what in the world this creature was.

"Everything? Or rather I am nothing? I was created from bodies, none of which my own therefore I am of everything and nothing at once." It explained best it could, confusion crossing its... face? Moreover lack thereof, it's ears may have expressed confusion but even those had only twisted backwards.

Though that seemed to be deemed a good enough answer as Cassio had relaxed decently below the creatures gaze. The smiling man didn't take that too well regardless as he took the chance to yank her away from the creatures grasp.

"Be careful doll, that thing is a psychotic killer whether she seems it or not." even with his smile his expression turned sour.

"You forget that I merely kill your kind, you acidic plague." the creature grumbled rather unenthusiastically. It may have made another swipe for the girl but her paw was bitten at by the finally active mutt of Cassio's, it had shifted once more to nearly a monstrous size to drag the girl away from the two.

The growl of it rippled through its body as the fabric stretched and twisted across its evident bones. The sound gurgled out from beneath the stitches of its mouth as slowly they ripped and stretched exposing fangs of broken bone. Cassio could only watch as her once small pup stretched its body over her with malice in its gaze purely on the two who intruded on their home.

"Asha? Asha what?-" she questioned in fear almost scrambling away from all three of them now, the fear returning for what they all were at this point. A dead dog, a man with a smile that never leaves, and a creature that shouldn't be alive.

And yet there the three stood, their eyes locked onto the small girl who was simply trying to understand what in the world was starting to appear here, and even with the panic it would only get worse.

The sounds of glass breaking slowly began to echo, it had started up the stairs first but slowly it made its way across the house. Shadows danced across the covered windows as the balloons that had at a point floated past now began to slam into the windows. Their bodies harder than they had originally appeared as the glass gave way below them slowly.

"Meirde," Mr.Balloon muttered grabbing Cassio once more. Even despite her protests he managed to wrangle her close enough to force a mask upon her face, a smile plastered on it in messy black ink.

The creature with a skull shot forward in an instant, its jaw lolling open in anger as it tackled one of the entering balloons the acid trailing down its body burning away the fur and flesh below it. The smell of burning grew as the creature did not release the balloons of acid.

It swallowed the acid as if it had been nothing but a simple treat. Asha even had moved forward in attempt to attack before screeching and returning to Cassio's side upon feeling the acid upon her fur.

"Well my lovely doll, it would appear this home is no longer quite safe is it?" Mr.Balloon attempted to keep a sweet tone to his voice failing miserably. The man dragged her towards the back door, the smiling acidic creatures completely ignoring them as if they were not even there. The creature however kept eating at them, even as its flesh fell from it's body. Lumps of blood dripped and dragged as it moved from Balloon to Balloon.

Asha herself was slamming away creatures with her paws, causing her paws to slowly become bloodier and boil under the acid. Her flesh at a point had even ripped from her bones as one of the smiles opened its previously closed.. Well it cannot be described as a mouth, as it was below the 'smile' it had.

It's large uneven teeth dug into the dogs paw ripping away the fabric and skin exposing pure nerves and bone below it all.

Despite this all however they all thankfully had managed to get to the door and leave the building behind, the swarming of balloons covering most of the windows.

"No, nono my home! Mam and Dad won't like this they will blame me!" Cassio's distressed voice rang out as she pushed against Mr Balloon as if to try and escape his grasp.

"Well if they do try to blame you my dear doll I will simply remind them that everyone else is dead!" Mr Balloon smiled at her, motioning to the many headless bodies lying around, the piles of organs spread across the streets, and even the skinless folk who look nearly like the creature that came through the window before.

Cassio's eyes slowly grew wide as she looked at the many mangled bodies. And yet the gore kept spreading as people continued to flee their homes in hopes of escaping the monsters. And yet even they were not free from carnage as creatures came from even the ground to devour them....
