Hours had passed upon the child resting, her cheeks once pouring with tears now are dry and cold, the man's own hands were cradling her body to his chest his touch unwavering against her and purely remaining over the clothed articles of her body.
Once the day peaked through the curtains once more her eyes fluttered open glancing around dizzily before they flicked up to the smiling man who had not moved near an inch the entire time. Not even as the dog sat and ripped at one of his arms tearing at the skin as the muscle clung limply to the bone.
"..What?.." her voice came out less than a whisper as if a frog were in her throat, his eyes than flicked down to her again curiously almost.
"Oh? Well my oh my you are finally awake Cassio how lovely it is to see your beautiful eyes," he chuckled happily slowly dragging the ripped arm of his away from the mongrel known as Asha. The flesh slowly clung back to the bone as it healed. The veins extending disgustingly twisting and turning below his skin as they reconnected.
"..Asha?" her voice wavered as her eyes landed on the.. Small? No, she isn't small anymore. There sat a creature resembling of her beloved pet, its head filled with teeth barely concealed by black gums. It's jaws dripped with gore from the man's arm and yet not a morsel of regret was in her blue glare, yet the moment their eyes met pure affection filled her gaze.
"...ash- asha what happened-" her voice rose in surprise sitting up best she could to reach for the hound. In return, the man swiftly took her hand away from the muzzle of her mutt.
"My darling I don't recommend touching that scoundrel. It bites," his voice chirped up amused albeit serious undertones wavered below. His hands laid tight on her hand binding her almost in his metallic grasp.
"..Please let me go," her voice rasped as her eyes were left unwavering upon his hand clasping hers. An innate fear digging into her mind like a parasite whispering to her to run before it was too late, and right before her body could react with panic his hand was off of hers.
"Oh dear me, apologies my dear little doll!" his smile widened more towards her, as his hand instead moved to her hair softly. He brushed out a few strands with his fingers carefully despite her flinching away.
As if on cue the once monstrous dog known as Asha fell upon her lap, now the size she had always been unlike the grotesque size she once was. Her growl hadn't quieted however as the fangs of hers attempted another grab at the man's hands.
"Bast... ahem, now that is quite impolite!" the usual smile on his face twitched downwards for nearly a millisecond before returning completely. "Why do we not all get along perchance?" he questioned attempting now to pet Asha.
That there seemed to be his first mistake as her teeth ripped into his hand breaking the fabric of his glove causing what looked almost like blood to drip from her muzzle. It was cold and silvery however, and as it dripped the smell of fabric melting could be smelt as the fabric on Asha's chin slowly began to melt off where the blood touched.
Quickly she snapped her jaw back with a low cry of pain, her body twitched more as her claws scrapped at the burning fabric.
"Asha- what happened, what's going on?" Cassio panicked, her hands yanking Asha close quickly, almost in an attempt to comfort the twitching hound as its body spazzed slightly from the pain like a game character glitching.
"My, I had attempted to avoid using such matters to stop her persistent biting. My body may turn to acid, my dear," he hums, his voice low and seeming almost annoyed as he keeps his hand well away from Cassio now. The dripping blood pooled upon the couch, slowly burning away the cushion and cotton below. "Eyes on me doll," he said lowly when Cassio had looked back to her dog.
