three; Speechless

Brooklynn's point of view
The Love Island Villa, Fiji

I sit down next to Kendall, everyone awkwardly looking at each other. He scoots closer to me, an arm going around the back of the couch behind me. He leans down to whisper to me.
"I have no clue what she's gonna do."
I turn to him, nodding and smiling.
"It's gonna be okay no matter what, okay?"

He smiles and nods, turning back to the front of the fire pit where Liv and Ariana are standing. Liv and Ariana go back and forth for a minute or so before Ariana gets to the point.
"Liv, it's decision time. Which boy do you want to steal?"

She turns back to the fire pit from looking at Ariana, her eyes immediately hitting Kendall. She smiles, before beginning her spiel.
"I wanna steal this boy because, in the past, I tend to go for the type that I'm really comfortable with. And, I feel like I'd be doing myself an injustice to not sort of try something I feel is really natural and right. I feel like, there's definitely something there."

"Liv, how difficult was it to come to this decision?"

"I never want to step on anyone's toes, but, gotta trust my gut."
Me and Leah catch each other's eyes, I mouth to her.
'It's gonna be Kendall.'
She frowns at me, shrugging slightly.

"The boy I wanna steal is,"
Liv pauses for dramatic effect, everyone side-eying each other. Liv skips a few beats, you could hear a pen drop in the tense silence.

"Kendall."
I try to fight the smile coming to my face, knowing I was right. I glance at Kendall, his face unreadable, his eyes wide. He looks at me, whispering that it's okay. Some jaws are dropped, all of the girls look at me, trying to gauge my reaction.

I hear JaNa whisper savage under her breath, a laugh almost leaving me. After a few more beats of silence, Ariana cuts through the tension.
"Okay Liv, you've chosen to steal Kendall. Brooklynn, you are now single."
I nod, a comforting smile on my face.
"Please come and stand up here. Liv, go claim your man."

Leah turns to Rob, mumbling that's my girl, I smile.
"Kendall, how are you feeling?"

"I really am shocked, for sure."
They go back and forth for a moment before Ariana turns to me.
"Brooklynn, is there anything you want to say to Kendall and Liv?"

I can't stop the laugh that leaves my mouth, my hand flying to cover it.
"Oh, um, no hard feelings? I'm relaxed."
Liv smiles at me, and I reciprocate it with no problem
"I love you, girl."
I laugh at Liv, nodding at her.
