In the end.....

"Slipspace will be stable in 4 minutes, all staff report to the main hanger" a female voice said over the intercom.

"Were almost there" Rookie said

Yang was falling behind just as 3 massive alpha beowolves jumped between her and the others.

"Oh crap" Yang said stopping

Rookie and Blake looked back.

"Yang!" Rookie shouted

"Go ahead, I'll take care of these guys" Yang said smiling

Blake took rookies hand and they began to run, a beowulf saw them and tried to chase after them, yang jumped on its back and put her arms around its neck.

"Where do you think your going handsome" Yang said

Rookie and Blake arrived at the hanger, filled with dozen grim humans, Salem stood infront of the slipspace drive.

"Kill them" Salem said

The grim humans raised old rifles and began to fire, Blake and Rookie took cover behind old steel containers. The human grim got closer.

Blake stepped put of cover shooting her pistols at the grim, rookie joined her.

A grim was shot in the head by Blake but the one behind it fired a grenade launcher,

The round landed between Blake feet, it's exploded sending her back, she fell on the floor and lay motionless.

"Blake!!" Rookie shouted

"Nice shot" Salem said

Rookie began to glow green again he dropped his smg and took out his combat knife, he took off his backpack and quixkly taped something to his chest.

Time froze for him, he ran out of cover and to the one holding the grenade launcher, stabbing it In the jaw ripping it off, he ran to another one cutting its throat, finsih it off the last one few with a quick cut to the gut.

Finally he saw Salem and ran right for her, Salem smiled amd force him to stop right as the knife was to her face.

He couldn't move.

"Stupid humans never learn" Salem said smiling

"Actually we do" Rookie replied smiling

Salem saw the detonator in his hand followed the wire until she saw what he had taped to his chest.

"FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY"

It detonated Salem and Rookie, Salem face was scorched, her clothes was ripped. She lay there breathing heavily.

Rookie slowly got back up breathing heavily.

Salem got angry picking up a dead grim machine gun and fired at rookie, bullets bounced off parts of his armor, but some entered through the exposed parts, going in and out of him. The visor on his helmet was shatters on one side as a bullet entered his helmet.

Rookie fall back and leaned agasint a metal box, his vision was fading, removing his helmet.

"Slipspace rupture stabilized" a voice said over the intercom.

The portal was done and Salem got back up and laughed, alowly regenerating.

"You have lost" Salem said

A few grim soliders arrived.

"Were all that's left" one said

"I'll send more get in there and show the humans nowhere is safe now" Salem said
