School dances.

When everyone comes together to have a great time with their classmates. That was something Lena and Camille had dreamed off since they started at the Palm Woods School.

But had it ever happened? No. All they got was a lame performance by Bitters.

Everyone sat in the Palm Woods classroom as they were finishing their final test of the school year. The bell rang and Miss Collins stood up. "Ok everyone, pencils down. Pass your finals forward and I'll see you all tonight at the Palm Woods end of year school party." She smiled and the class groaned.

Lena's head snapped to her side to Camille. "That's tonight?" She asked and Camille nodded slowly and Lena groaned in annoyance as she put her head down on her desk.

Camille had made them move closer to the front of the classroom so she could sit beside Logan, Lena didn't want to leave her corner but she didn't want to be left alone in the back, and she quickly realised that she could actually read Miss Collins writing a lot better from her new seat, especially when she forgot her glasses.

"Wow, everyone seems really not excited." Logan said and Camille shook her head.

"No it's great. We get cupcakes, punch and entertainment." She said sarcastically and Lena lifted her head up.

"By Bitters." She added as she remembered the party from the year before where Bitters took many failed attempts to make a balloon animal. "That thing was not a duck. It was an abomination." Lena sighed and Camille agreed.

"Miss Collins, don't you think we could so something remotely cool for our end of the year school party!" Kendall suggested and James smiled.

"Like a dance." He said and the class all nodded in approval.

"With slow dances." Logan nodded with a smile.

"And dates to slow dance with." Carlos added and the class all nodded.

"Well, we've never had a school dance before because we're really just one small classroom. But if a certain band wants to be the new school dance committee, sounds great." Miss Collins shrugged with a smile and the class cheered. "So you need to find a theme, snack, decorations, chaperones, and we have no money, no place to have it and since todays the last day of school, we need to have it tonight."

Lena's eyes widened at the list. "I wish you all good luck." She sighed.

Lena sat in the lobby with Camille, Jo and Stephanie and she started repainting her nails. "So, Lena. Who are you gonna ask to the dance?" Jo asked with a teasing smile and Lena looked up at her two best friends confused.

"Wait, that date thing was mandatory?" She asked and Camille laughed and shook her head.

"Of course it is." She said and Lena raised her eyebrow before she shrugged.

"I might just go solo." She said.

"You can't do that. It's our first school dance." Stephanie said and Lena shrugged.
