Azriel set out on a journey to unite the factions of the neighboring kingdoms. He met leaders who had once been his enemies, forging alliances despite the old wounds that still lingered between them. Among them was Lady Elara, a warrior with a tragic past, who soon became one of his closest allies.
Together, they discovered the Heart of Lumina, a powerful artifact guarded by a mystical beast. They confronted the creature within its vast cavern, and after a fierce struggle they struck it down and claimed the artifact for themselves.
But as Azriel and his companions seized the Heart of Lumina, they were suddenly attacked by Kael and his forces, who had come in search of the gold that filled the beast's cavern. In the midst of an epic duel, Azriel offered Kael the chance of redemption. Kael confessed that he had sought both to restore the honor of his family and—though he admitted it with some embarrassment—to satisfy a "trace" of pride and greed for wealth.
Yet Azriel saw in him the makings of a precious ally. Kael commanded an army of mercenaries, and within his heart there remained a deep devotion to familial duty—a sentiment Azriel himself shared, though he did not fully understand why.
Thus it was that, strengthened by this new brotherhood, bearing the Heart of Lumina and supported by the many alliances he had forged with the kings of the land, Azriel now marched toward the place of his birth.
