In a kingdom once prosperous, a queen bore the heavy burden of silence, keeping within her secrets of lust and betrayal. The king, for his part, remained silent as well, consumed by jealousy and pride.
An oracle had foretold to the queen: "You shall give birth to a wondrous son, a son who will become the most renowned in all the world. For your son will be the long-awaited messiah of his age. Yet you must reveal to him his divine origin. Otherwise, he will curse the world and become the most feared demon in the universe."
The queen, terrified by this prophecy yet comforted by the promise of bringing forth a savior, chose to keep silent. The king, learning of the prediction and suspecting the queen's betrayal, allowed himself to be possessed by a malicious spirit.
The queen, doubting the king's fertility, chose a lover and gave birth to a boy whom she named Azriel. The child was born into the love and joy that his condition could allow. Yet the queen's infidelity did not remain unknown, and everyone kept silent about it—a silence that suited the queen well.
However, the king, manipulated by the evil spirit, hired a mercenary to harm the newborn, for he suspected the child was not his. At that very moment, the Creator of all things placed the Holy Spirit upon the child, thus fulfilling the prophecy. The mercenary, beholding a celestial light, was instantly seized with grace for the newborn and turned back, going to warn the king of what he had seen.
Upon hearing this, the king resolved to let the child live—especially since he himself knew nothing of the prophecy. Yet the evil spirit still lingered within him, ready to play its tricks.
