Tori's POV:

It was around 6:30 PM and I was sitting on my bed doing homework. The three knocks came from the front door, startling me. I groaned and got up to open it.

While walking down the stairs, I heard three more frantic knocks. "Coming!" I opened up the door and saw Jade. Tears running down her cheeks, her arms around her body. "Oh my god, Jade. Are you okay? Come in." Jade, still crying, stepped in the house. "Trina is home so we might have to go up to my room." Walking ahead of her and looking back at her, nudging her to follow.

I took a seat on the bed and so did she. "So," I looked around nervously. "What's going on?" Jade buried her head in her hands. "Tori, I can't." I leaned in and gave her a hug. She continued crying in my shoulders. I rubbed her back in circles and played with her hair as she sobbed. "Jade, whatever you need, I'm here. You can talk to me." She pulled back and sniffled. "I'll be by your side no matter w-"

Jade interrupted. "Do you love me, Tori?" My mouth parted slightly, taken aback at what she just asked me. "What? Of course I do, Jade. You know that." She looked down at her hands.

"No, Tori. Do you love me like I love you?" Confused, I question her. "What's going on, Jade? What do you mean?" She scoffed. "I should probably go." She stood up abruptly. I grabbed her wrist. "No, wait! Stay, please?" I smiled as she started walking back.

"Jade, tell me, what do you mean?" I cupped her cheek. She smiled into my hand. "I love you, Tori." A confused look appeared on my face. She sighed and say upright. "What I'm trying to say is, I have feelings for you." My hand still on her face, I slowly leaned in. Only centimeters away until our lips touch.

"Oh Jade, if only I knew, I would've done this a long time ago." Finally, our lips connected and my hands tangled into her hair. I was the first to pull back. It all felt so.. natural. Like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly.

My forehead against hers, our eyes looking into each other. "I love you, Jade. I always have."
