Soon enough we were at the airport waiting in the first-class lounge, my parents' job being a big advantage when it comes to travelling comfortably. All our luggage had been checked in and we were soon boarding the plane.

As i was preparing my movie schedule for the plane, my mom came over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"hey you, you okay" she asked, giving me a big kiss on the cheek.

"I'm all good mom, ready for the relaxing break away. That is if Maddie stays away from me" I sneered at the end, already dreading having to see my bully of a cousin. Ever since we could talk, neither me nor Maddie have never really liked another or been close. She's one of those mean girls and I'm most definitely not. The main reason we don't get on at all anymore is because she was extremely rude to Amaya when she came with us to visit 3 Christmas's ago. That was the last I ever saw our extended family, but my mother has insisted we spend 3 months with them. To be honest, most of my family I get on well with, but Maddie just seems to ruin that for me. Either way though, I've told myself that I'm going to stop letting her interfere with me seeing my other family members and most importantly, she's not going to stop me from having fun this summer.

"i don't think she'll be too much of an issue this summer Layla"

Just as I turned to my mum with questioning eyes, the announcement came that first class were boarding. We all quickly collected our hand luggage and boarded, mum and dad being 2 rows away from Grayson and I.

"Race you to the window seat" I challenged Grayson, before running off. Grayson huffed before trying and failing to catch up with me.

"ha ha ha" i gloated, dropping down into the chair by the window.

"i always forgot how athletic you actually are" he puffed out, sitting down in the aisle chair himself. "do you think you'll ever run again?"

I paused, trying to answer the question without uprooting everything. Running used to be my entire life. I was the fastest sprinter our school had ever seen, even fast than my quarterback of a brother.

"i don't know, maybe. I prefer jujitsu now anyway" i replied dismissively, before sticking my headphones in. Grayson got the hint and didn't utter a word until we had taken off.

We were about 2 hours into the flight when I started to notice some random man constantly staring at me. I stared to fidget in my seat before deciding to get up to go to the first-class lounge to try and get away from his creepy stares.

"where are you going" Gray asks as i get out of my seat.

"just to the lounger for a drink, i wont be long" i reassured him before walking away, not hearing his response.

Walking in, i found myself in awe of the luxury lounger, despite having flown first-class many times.

Sighing, i made my way to the bar in hopes of being able to order something strong to get me through this flight.

"one margarita please" i ask confidently, showing the waiter a slight smile. He gave me one look before saying "not today kid" with a rude tone.

Scoffing, i said "I'm hardly a kid" before brushing past whoever was sat at the bar and sitting on a sofa with a book from my bag.

Only a few moments later i noticed a shadow blocking my light so i looked up and silently gasped. In front of me was quite possibly the most handsome looking man I'd ever seen. His bright green eyes glistened as if they were under direct sunlight. His hair was light brown and curly, not too long but not too short either. The slight stubble contradicting his youthful face. My eyes drifted down to his chest where he wore a tight white top that hugged his muscular arms perfectly. Wow.
