Nova helped me decide on a dress—or what could be called a dress. Automatically, I reached for the pieces that looked like they had the most fabric, but each time I found either they were too big or didn't cover the relevant areas. These garments were so obscene that I probably would have felt less exposed if I were completely naked, but Nova insisted I had to wear something.
With her expert guidance, I finally settled on a white dress with thin straps, made of a fabric so fine it was almost see-through, but long enough to somewhat cover my vulva and buttocks. The lower hem was adorned with a delicate, thin fur trim. There was no underwear to go with it.
"You look like a snow fox," Nova said, finishing the look by putting fluffy white fox ears on my head. I chuckled.
I wore my hair down, and unlike many of the other women, I had refrained from putting on makeup. The shoes posed a problem: they all had ridiculously high heels, and I wasn't used to walking in them. Going barefoot wasn't an option according to Nova, so I reluctantly forced myself into the pair that seemed least perilous. I had a brief moment to practice, but it was far from sufficient, and I felt terribly unsteady on my feet.
Just before eight o'clock, we peeked out from behind the curtain. The hall was already well filled. Dozens of male Seraphim sat at tables or stood at the bar, chatting, drinking wine, and laughing. Sensual music filled the room. I couldn't spot Cassiel anywhere. I didn't know whether to be disappointed or relieved. On one hand, I desperately wanted to see him again, but on the other, the thought of him increased my nerves immeasurably.
"Alright, it's almost showtime," Nova addressed the others. "Daria, you're up first. The rest of you, come with me, let's dive into the fray!"
My heart pounded in my throat as I followed Nova on wobbly legs. We had agreed that initially, I would stick close to her until she showed me everything, and at that moment, I was incredibly grateful for it.
I followed her down the staircase on the side of the stage, through the door, and finally, we were in the hall.
Instantly, dozens of heads turned towards us. All eyes were on us, and the looks left no doubt about what the men were thinking. The other women immediately streamed off in different directions, as if it were a well-rehearsed dance, and I followed Nova to the bar. Lascivious glances accompanied us, and I lowered my eyelids. My pulse raced, even though Nova had prepared me for it.
"Hey, sweetheart, you're new here, right?" someone called out.
I was paralyzed with excitement, unable to react.
"You have to answer when they talk to you," Nova whispered. "Remember the contract!"
She was right, those were the rules. So, I forced my gaze upward and met the gaze of the Seraph who had spoken. He was handsome like they all were, blond, tall, and muscular, with broad jaws and a flawless face.
"Oh, look at her," he said to his friends. "So sweet. She looks so innocent." He got up from his seat and approached me. Fear threatened to overwhelm me, but I remembered they couldn't touch us. I had nothing to fear.
"Come on, show us your pussy," he demanded. His audacity shocked me deeply. Of course, I knew I was here for their amusement, but never in my entire life had anyone spoken to me so disrespectfully, not even Eldrid. His friends cheered. Blood rushed in my ears. Helplessly, I glanced at Nova. She looked a bit unhappy but nodded encouragingly. Of course, we had to do what the Seraphim told us. In that moment, I realized the clause about not being touched wouldn't protect me from humiliations.
My cheeks burned as I reached for the hem of my dress, but the angel interrupted me.
"Not like that," he said curtly. "I came here to see a show! Entertain me!"
