The gang was already there when Meggy finally arrived. She walked in, glad to see some familiar faces instead of the one she saw in her mirror earlier this morning. "MEGGY!!!!!" Mario yelled as he ran towards her, arms wide open and his signature smile on his face. Meggy couldn't help but smile at her best friend, and called out, "Hey Red!" as he reached her and finally hugged her. Mario let go and of course,started to ramble about the dumbest stuff known to mankind. "Red, as much as I would love to hear about this spaghetti versus lasagna debate, I'm kinda looking for Tari. Is she here?" Mario looked around, possibly scanning the area, then said "oh yeah! Tari is-a in the game room! I-a think Bob challenged her to-a smash bros tournament." "Great," Meggy smiled, "thanks for the help, Red." She turned and walked in the direction of the game room, but Mario stopped her. "Wait! You-a can't go in there!." Meggy turned to him, a puzzled look on her face. "Huh? Why not?" "No one is allowed in until the loser walks out. That was one of the rules Bob had for-a the tournament." Mario explained, then pointed towards the 'NO ENTRY' sign by the door. Meggy rolled her eyes at the sign and Bob's rule. She really needed to talk to Tari, and Bob's stupid rule was getting in her way. As much as I want to respect it, they're taking way too long, Meggy thought to herself as Mario once again rambled about...something. Meggy wasn't actually listening, her attention was on the door. "Oh hey, Meggy! You're here!" She turned away from the door finally, and waved to the person that had called her. "Hey Smg4! Yeah,I figured I'd pop by for a while, say hi to my friends." Smg4 smiled, and walked up to her and Mario. "Mario was-a telling Meggy about your-a meme factory, 4!" Oh. So that's what he was rambling about, Meggy thought as she nodded her head, pretending she had listened to the whole speech Mario gave her. Smg4 seemed to light up as Mario said that. "Oh yeah! You probably don't remember the inside because you were Leggy. Do you wanna come see?" Meggy flinched at the name 'Leggy' but quickly recovered and replied, "Not right now. I'm kinda waiting to talk to Tari." "Don't bother. They'll be in there for hours because Bob's dumbass doesn't know when to quit." Meggy turned towards the voice and tilted her head, a confused look on her face. "Smg3? I didn't know you were here. How long have you been there?" 3 rolled his eyes at the ginger, obviously annoyed by something that had happened before she got there. "Longer than you, obviously. And long enough to know that you might as well just go on smg4's stupid factory tour. Unless you wanna sit at the door like a lost puppy for an hour." Meggy rolled her eyes playfully at his sarcasm, and smiled before turning to 4 and Mario again. "Alright you two, let's go see this factory." Smg4 and Mario looked at each other and lit up, each grabbing Meggy by the hand and leading her out the door. "You're not gonna regret it, Meggy. I promise." Smg4 said as he continued to pull Meggy along. "Yeah! Maybe you'll-a finally learn to be funny!" Mario teased, following Meggy and Smg4. Meggy rolled her eyes at him, then gasped as the factory came into view. "Wow..." She said in awe, "This is...huge." It was also dark. And kind of scary looking. Meggy shuddered, feeling a chill down her spine as Smg4 and Mario showed her around. As they walked, there was one room that caught Meggys attention. It was a room with desks and computers. Meggy points towards the room, and looks at Smg4. "What's this?And where is everyone?" Smg4 looks into the room. "Oh that's just the Meme Kitchen. You can make memes through the computer, and Rock Wizard will bring it to life." Meggy looked towards Mario, obviously confused. "It-a makes you funny. And-a slogan here is-a 'anyone can cook'!" "Huh...interesting..." Meggy said as they continued the tour. "And here is the Comedy Zone! The most treasured spot in the whole factory. It's also a powerful source..." Meggy stops listening, noticing her phone's gone off. She looks at it and reads the text from smg3:
Edgy gay bsf: Yo your gfs free. I'm in the game room rn holding your spot. lmk when you're otw.
Meggy smiles and responds:
woomy: thxxxxx I'm gonna try to speed this tour up
edgy gay bsf: don't take to long. I'm not waiting forever 😒
Meggy smiled and put her phone away as she heard Smg4 talk about how indestructible the walls in the Meme Factory were. "I mean, its almost impossible for anyone to break in. And if you get stuck in here, it's pretty much useless getting out unless someone gets you out." Meggy smiled and elbowed Smg4 playfully. "You plan on hiding out in here or something, 4?" Smg4 rubbed his arm after Meggy elbowed him, and responded "Yeah, no. I think I'll stick to touching grass once in a while." They laughed for a while, and Meggy felt comfortable being around them again. "Alright, we should get back. 3 texted me and said Tari was looking for you," Mario smiled at Meggy as he began walking towards the exit. "Yeah, I know. 3 texted me already." Smg4 didn't say anything, he just walked towards the elevator, waiting for them to follow. The two M's walked into the elevator after him, and after a few beats of silence, Mario and Meggy looked at each other, then at Smg4. "Did he not text you, 4?" Meggy asked, looking at 4 with a playful expression. Smg4 looked away and mumbled "Well...he did...but its not about...uhm oh look! We're back on the first floor." He hurriedly walked out the elevator, seeming to not want to talk about it anymore. The M's looked at each other and smiled. They knew that their meme guardian friends had a crush on each other, but neither wanted to admit it. Mario pointed at Smg4, and then looked at Meggy with a He's so blind its funny face. Meggy gave him an I know right? face back. "Hey! I see you two! Get out already and quit doing the face thing." The M's laughed and ran out the door,catching up to the angry man outside. They then began to walk back inside the tent/castle. Meggy was bursting to tell Tari everything that happens earlier that morning, but she couldn't help but feel calm with her friends by her side. It almost made her want to tell them too. Almost. At least if anything went wrong, her friends could hide in the Meme Factory.
Because as Smg4 said, it's almost impossible for anyone to break in.
