Fractured Bonds

N leaned in and kissed Uzi, catching her off guard. Shocked, Uzi pushed him away and slapped him across the face. N touched his cheek, his eyes wide with surprise.

"BITE ME!! Why did you kiss me, N?" Uzi shouted, her voice trembling with anger and confusion.

"I thought you liked me..." N replied, looking at her with a mix of hurt and sadness. Uzi felt a pang of regret but couldn't admit her feelings. Instead, she blurted out, "Not in that way!!" lying to him and herself.

N stood up, tears forming in his eyes. Uzi looked away, unable to meet his gaze. "Just... just leave. I don't want to see you right now," she said, her voice cracking.

"Fine... You won't see me again," N said coldly and stormed out of Uzi's room.

Uzi gasped, realizing the weight of her words. "I... I didn't mean... that," she whispered, tears streaming down her face. "I'm such a fool," she sobbed, sliding down to the floor, hugging her knees. She knew she had just lost her best friend and crush.

N, overhearing her regret, felt a surge of conflicting emotions. He wanted to turn back, but instead, he ran away, feeling heartbroken and confused.

Days Later:

Uzi continued her routine, walking to school and back, her thoughts consumed by N. She checked her phone constantly, hoping for a message from him, but there was nothing. It felt like he had vanished.

One evening, as N wandered aimlessly, he was ambushed by an unknown drone and kidnapped.

Back to Uzi:

There was still no sign of N. Uzi walked home alone, her heart heavy. When she reached her doorstep, she found V waiting for her. V crossed her arms and glared at Uzi.

"Well, well, well... What did you do to N? I can't find him anywhere," V said accusingly.

"What did I do?" Uzi asked, genuinely confused and looking dejected.

"Don't act innocent, sweetheart. N is missing. No one can find him, and you're the only one I know who can kill Murder Drones. You killed J..." V said, her tone dripping with annoyance.

"H... He is missing?" Uzi's heart sank even further.

"Yeah, you didn't know? What a great friend you are~" V sneered. Uzi looked at the ground, tears welling up in her eyes.

"So, did you argue or something?" V pressed.

"I guess..." Uzi mumbled.

"About what?" V demanded.

Uzi blushed and looked at V. "N... He kissed me."

"HE KISSED YOU? Seriously?" V said, her eyes widening in shock.

"SHUT UP!!" Uzi snapped, her face turning red.

"Heh, didn't know that idiot had the guts," V said, smirking. "I want to see N so bad..." Uzi murmured.

V's expression turned sinister. "If you think I'm letting you near N, think again. I'm glad N came to his senses. You won't see him again. And if you do, he'll be a real Murder Drone, just like the rest of us," V said, her voice laced with psychotic glee.

"WHAT! YOU KNEW WHERE HE WAS ALL THE TIME!? WHAT DID YOU DO TO HI-" Uzi was cut off by V, who spread her wings and took off into the sky.

"...GOD DAMNIT! BITE ME!!" Uzi screamed in frustration.

After V left, Uzi fell to the ground, tears streaming down her face, feeling more hopeless than ever.

Uzi's POV:

Days later, I decided to go back to the place where I first met N, hoping to find him there. I brought my newly upgraded railgun. As I searched the area, all I found were dead Worker Drones and disassembled parts. The silence was unnerving, the only sound being the crunch of snow under my boots. I felt eyes on me, and I stopped, listening intently. I slowly took out my railgun when suddenly, I was hit hard and thrown into a steel wall.

"Ouch..." I groaned, trying to get up. I looked at the figure who attacked me, my robotic heart skipping a beat. It was N, but he looked different, almost unrecognizable.

"I thought I made it clear I wouldn't come back," N said coldly, drawing his claw-like blades and rushing to attack me.

He scratched my shoulder, and oil began dripping. I held my arm. "Ugh... Ow," but it healed quickly, thanks to my Zombie Drone abilities. I looked up at N, "Oh N..." I said sadly.

"Do you like the new N?" a voice taunted. I turned to see V standing on top of the shuttle, the one who had kidnapped N.

"V..." I said, glaring at her as I fended off more of N's attacks.

"Pretty neat, right? N is back to his murderous self again. The N you once knew is gone, thanks to the special memory-removing virus! By the way, you're lucky to have that regeneration power, or you'd be scrap by now," V said, grinning wickedly. N attacked me, severing my arm. It would take longer to heal, and I screamed in pain.

"R... Removing memory virus!?" I said in shock, dodging N's other attacks while clutching my arm.

"Yes, try all you want. He won't come back!" V laughed maniacally.

I looked at N's face, blushing, seeing an X across it. N took out his wings and stabbed me in the other shoulder, lifting me into the air before dropping me back to the ground. I tried to get up but collapsed again. N landed in front of me, and I looked up at him weakly. I stood up, holding my arm, and gazed at him.

"N... I love you... I'm sorry... about everything," I said, grabbing the fluffy part of his coat and pulling him close, kissing his lips.

"Damn... I knew you were into bad boys," V muttered.

Seconds later, I pulled away, looking into N's eyes as they returned to normal. "Uzi...?" N said softly.

"N..." I said, kissing him again, wrapping my arms around his neck. He kissed me back, lifting me off the ground.

"My shortie," N whispered, and we continued kissing.

V was recording everything with her camera eyes. "Eww, gross! This is so clichéd!" V said, rolling her eyes, but we didn't stop.

"Get a room," V muttered, flying off in annoyance.
