Dear Ch'en Hui-chieh,

Much has happened in the span of nearly a month. I've met a mystifying mercenary by the name of Regulus. He liberated me from the clenches of Kashchey. Forever, will I be eternally grateful towards Regulus.

After some effort, I was able to enlist his support. Not long after, he left me in a village to collect his bounty, which I did not expect it'll aid me as well later on.

The particular village was run by a chieftain Ivan Iziaslav, alongside his wife Mila. The couple allowed my stay, even provided a cottage for me. Albeit, they are a teasing bunch.

I had the fortune to have met a graceful elafia named Alina. She manages trading with nearby towns and such for supplies. As kind as she may be, Alina does have a temper. Never holding back what is on her mouth.

After Regulus' return, he brought multiple soldiers and civilians from Deity Grypherburg. As he pharsed it, 'with adequate training, my success is assured'. Two instructors, one specialized in physical combat Madeline Morozova, and an arts caster Cordelia Vasiliev.

I have to yet be trained by Cordelia Vasiliev. She cheerfully insisted that I garnered my attention on Madeline's teachings. My guess is Cordelia knew Madeline would overwhelm me. I have regrets not having chosen Cordelia first.

My trainings with Madeline were cumbersome during the first few days. Thankfully, Regulus, with his fists (quite literally), persuaded Madeline to take it down a peg.

Indeed, my sparring with Ms. Morozova had gotten more breathable. It was still cruel to endure.

By the time Alina took time to watch one morning, she was in distraught. She pleaded with many questions about my resolve. As you already know, Ch'en I am firm to stay and liberate the infected harassed by their own nation's prejudice.

I held my front, proudly declared that I sought to be the torch of any oppressed civilian. May my rally show ordinary folk that their incurable disease is not a valid reason to be unfairly tried and slaughtered.

A bit lofty to say I know. I am certain you'll likely scoff if we were in person.

We'll be departing today. This should mark the first step I need to make. I'll write to you in a few days dear sister. Til the day we meet in person, Hui-chieh.

With great love,

Talulah Artorius.

Pov: Talulah

That should settle it.. I finished drafting my letter. Sealing the envelope and setting it aside as I focus on other matters.

That will be all in this aspect. Next should be reaffirming my possessions are inside the suitcas-

Nyx: "Talulah."

"EEK!"

Papers are tossed up high. I clenched my chest and attempted to calm the rapidly thumping heart. My bodyguard frightened me for the uncountable time this month.

"Nyx!"

As I turned to face the vouvire, her figure blurred, Nyx managed to fetch all thrown notes plummeting downwards.

Nyx: "Here."

Handing the somehow organized notes to me. My mind did not comprehend how quick Nyx was.
