chapter 14

Luke parked the car in the parking lot, it was pretty late, around 1am maybe.
The two boys had been out the whole day, after the, kiss, Calum felt...not uncomfortable, but not that comfortable either. He didn't know why.

They got out of the car and Luke locked it before both of them walked towards the house.
"Ugh, it's freezing," Calum said, hugging himself slightly.
Luke looked at him, after he kissed Calum, he felt proud, he never thought he were able to do something like that.

And oh, he loved Calum's lips moving in sync with his, he had enjoyed every second of it and even if their small make out session lasted for less than two minutes, he loved it.

Luke sighed as he were about to unlock the door, but it opened by itself.
His mum suddenly stepped out.
"Where have you been?" She asked, sternly.
The boys walked into the house and Calum closed the door.

"We've been out," Luke said.
"Till 1 in the morning? You could've told me at least!" She said like it was obvious, and yeah, they should have done that, but they forgot.

"I'm sorry, mum," Luke apologised and Liz just shook her head.
"Go to sleep," she said, she didn't even look at Calum, not so sure why.

She walked away and Luke turned to Calum.
"I don't really think your mum likes me that much," Calum said, while taking his shoes off.
"No, she do like you, I don't know what's up with her right now, though." Luke sighed.

They walked up the stairs and into Luke's room, Calum collapsed on the mattress and mumbled something.
"What?" Luke said, walking over to his bed.
"It's cold as fuck in your room, why is it cold as fuck in your room?" Calum mumbled so Luke could hear it.

"I don't know, but maybe you'll be warm if we cuddle?" Luke suggested, and Calum would normally agree with him, but he didn't tonight.
"No, I'm sorry but I want to sleep on my own tonight." He lied.

He wanted to sleep with Luke, but at the same time, it felt so wrong, so weird, especially after their kiss.

"Oh, okay, goodnight Calum," Luke said, he took his jeans off and laid under the covers, he usually hated sleeping with his shirt on, but if you only knew how cold his room was.

"Sorry, Luke," Calum apologised again, doing the same thing as Luke, taking his jeans off but sleeping with the shirt on.

Luke only had a t-shirt, while Calum had one of Luke's sweaters, that were slightly oversized for him, not too much, but he liked it.

"Don't apologise, goodnight Calum," Luke said, closing his eyes.
"Goodnight, Luke," Calum said, taking a deep breath.

"I love you."

A few hours later, Luke woke up by someone screaming, he sat up and looked at the floor, Calum was sitting, too, his hands covering his face.

"Calum? Wh-what happened?" Luke got down from his bed quickly and sat down beside Calum.
Calum didn't reply, he couldn't, he were sobbing.
Luke put his arms around the boy and tried to calm him down.

Calum cried onto Luke's chest, he just had a nightmare, and he felt so scared.
"I had, uhm, a nightmare," Calum said quietly, too scared to even think about it.

"Do you want to tell me what it was about?" Luke asked softly, knowing he calmed him down.
"N-no, can you just, sleep with me t-tonight," Calum asked, Luke nodded and they laid down onto the mattress.

"You don't have to tell me, I just want you to know that I'm always here for you," Luke whispered while pulling the covers on top of them.

He could feel Calum move closer and after a while he could feel him breath, the air hitting his neck softly.

"Why do I like you so much?" Luke asked himself, closing his eyes.
"I don't know why you like me, either," he heard Calum mutter, but Luke weren't sure if he heard right or if he were imagineering stuff, because he was so tired.

"I love you, Calum," Luke breathed out.
"I love you, too."

okay so, im starting school this monday (august 17th incase you didn't know lol) and i don't know if i'll be able to update so much...or well i will cause i've already written chapter 29 of this story heheh

but i don't think i'll be able to write that much for a while, cause my grades aren't the best and i have to get them higher cause they're really, really bad so i'll really focus on school for a while now, and i think y'all should know that cause you know :))))
