"Hello my names Ben, Benny lake McClain. I'm 23 years old and i died from an animal attack during summer camp at nine years old, back then i didn't know how i lived to this day i still don't understand how i'm still here. I feel nothing, I have no organs, nothing but a slow beating heart, I have scars everywhere. I want to share some things that I have said once but make more since now that you see me right here "alive" and "well". As kids were told nothing happens to us after death and once we die we die...Right? I was told this as a child. I can only tell you a million times I have asked my mother back then. I would ask again and again "what happens to us once we die, mother?" I'd ask if there was such a thing as an afterlife. I never got my questions answered, I was told I was crazy. I don't think i'm crazy i believe it's a very good question to ask don't you think so? This court will determine if I should be seen as a monster or normal. As a kid I saw my own death and my future and I never understood what I do now."

"Ben! Come on, wake up its breakfast mate." I heard Paul's voice. I had forgotten I got out of the infirmary a few days ago. "OK ok I'm up give me a second, my head is still hurting a bit." What is with these dreams? Is this the future? Do I die? What's going on? "BEN!" "I'm sorry I've been horrible since what happened, I'm sorry dude." "sorry the only way i could get your attention now is to hurry mate." I hurriedly followed my best friend to the cafeteria as my nose started to bleed. I guess Paul saw it in the corner of his eyes and gave me a napkin to hold my nose with. I have no idea what I'd do if I never met him during school. "HEY GUYS LOOK MOMMIES BOY IS HAVING A NOSEBLEED!" I heard THAT voice, his voice made me want to puke. I hated him. My mother told me to never use hate towards someone but Crane deserves that title. "Crane, your dad left for a teenage girl and your mom doesn't love you. That's why she sends you to a summer camp every summer so she doesn't have to care for you." I look at Paul. I swear sometimes I forget he can be mean when the time's right but it's crazy to see how much he cares, he's been my only friend since we were four. No one really likes me, I get called spoiled. I'm not spoiled, just have a single mom who works to keep me alive and healthy. My father died from a horrible shark attack trying to save me and mom, mom was bleeding from a cut on her leg and dad tried to save us but died, mom has always tried to be there for me we went to therapy for a long time to get his death out of are minds but it never seems to leave mine. Me and Paul found a seat and we got to eating. The food was good but I'll miss my moms for a while. She cooks the best bacon and eggs. I looked up at Paul. "What do you think we're going to be doing today?" He looked up and smiled, "We're going hiking and camping deep in the woods, I think we will go paddle boating and fishing." He gets lost in thoughts trying to think and then the camp director starts to talk about today's plan when Paul gets snapped out of his thoughts.

"Hello and good morning, we will be doing a bunch of fun and exciting activities today. Once all of you are done eating i'll be giving y'all fifteen minutes to pack some stuff for the hike and outdoors camping, we will be near the lake so paddle boats and fish poles will be there for fun activities for us to learn and do. Grab a buddy or two and once the bell goes off on the speaker we all meet back here for further instructions, now enjoy and continue eating." Once we were done, me and Paul ran to our cabin and started packing. If I'm honest this is the best fun I've had. The last time I had this much fun was before my father died. Once we got a small group we went with a camp guide and were all laughing and making jokes, just being funny and having fun. We make it to the camp grounds, we start to set up tents and start heading to the docks for boats and fishing. Most girls stay behind, others go swimming, and others go paddle boating. The boys head for the water, some head for the boats, and others for the fishing poles. For a while I stayed behind and sat and drew in the sand to draw the sunset as an amazing memory. This one girl in particular kept looking at me and her and her friends kept laughing and smiling at me. The girl's name was Matilda, a really pretty name. My mothers name is Lolita and for my father his name was David. Matilda walked over to me and sat down looking at my drawing. "That's super pretty, it looks so realistic. Where did you learn to draw like that?" I looked at her in surprise. "Well before my dad passed he showed me a lot of art styles and I kinda learned from my dad." I gave a small awkward smile and went back to my drawing. She gave a smile back. "I'm so sorry about your dad but at least someone can carry his talent and pass it on in the future." "I guess so thanks, um im Ben." "Matilda, nice to meet you Ben."

It was nearing night time and the camp guides told us to make our way to the tents and head to bed. Me and Paul stayed up telling stories and made up scary things to tell each other to scare one another. " Hello Benny here for a little background on myself. I grew up in a good sized town, never had many friends growing up except for my best friend Paul Risben, he was my only friend since we were around four years old. When I was six my dad died in a shark attack and my mother was never much of a person to hold on to the past so she made it look like it didn't affect her at all but it was terrible acting. I wish I could've helped her but I was a kid and I had no clue how to help." I woke up in a cold sweat, the sun in my eyes and someone standing over me. " Rise and shine Benny boy we've got a lot to do today so let's get a move on, we're going bird watching come on mate." "What's your deal and rushing people who just wake up Paul?" "Well I like to have fun and you're a pretty boring kid so come up we don't have all day to wait for you." I groaned and rolled my eyes, getting up and putting my shoes on while walking behind Paul. "He's awake finally, can we go now?" "Sure, let me headcount and make sure that's everyone then we can go." Once we started walking we met up with group d. I saw Crane and a wave of anger and fear came over me. We start to walk and associate with group d. Crane comes over and teases me and tries to scare me but I don't listen and keep walking, keeping my eyes forward trying to keep him out of my sight and mind. He got so mad that he shoved me and started to push me closer and closer to a huge hill then pushed me and I fell and started to roll and fall down the hill. As soon as I hit the bottom I heard loud growls and creepy noises, I looked to my left seeing a huge bear that looked super hungry. I got scared and completely forgot about the bear safety we were given by my camp guides and the camp director. I got up and went running, I screamed as loud as I could. The only thing I remembered but it didn't work was that this big bear was way too hungry. I tried to duck and hide but it found me, all i can do is watch and scream as my blood flies everywhere. Mu guys are all over the place and blood is all over me and the bear i scream and cry hoping someone can hear me but it's no use my insides are everywhere i'm being eaten alive by a grizzly bear and i watched as i slowly die from blood loss and my organs being ripped out of me. Everything goes black and im still screaming and crying still having hope someone will hear me and save me, even though there's nothing left to save my arm in ripped to pieces my guts and blood all over the place and before i lost my hearing i heard gunshots then it went silent and my body goes limp and i feel nothing i can't scream and cry anymore.
