Emaan winced in pain as something touched the welts on her body, followed by a cool sensation that numbed the discomfort. She stirred, opened her eyes, and looked over her shoulder, meeting Arzal's gaze as he applied ointment. He was dressed for work.

"Good morning, baby," he greeted, sitting her up carefully and wrapping a loose silk robe around her to avoid irritating her wounds.

"Morning," she whispered softly, lying back and closing her eyes.

He caressed her face gently. "Are you tired?"

"Hmm. Ap kahan ja rahe hain?" (Where are you going?)

"Office ja raha hun." (To the office.)

She snapped her eyes open and held his hand tightly that was resting on her cheek. "Abhi nahi, mere saath baitthen." (Not now, stay with me.)

Arzal smiled, "Alright."

He sat beside her. Emaan sat up and placed her head on his chest as he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer.

"Kya soch rahi ho?" he asked, rubbing her shoulder gently.

She shook her head.

"Bolo." (Tell me.)

She looked at him, fidgeting with his shirt buttons, and spoke hesitantly. "Agar..agar me ap ko kal rokti nahi toh kya ap.. waqai mein chale jate?" ("If..if I hadn't stopped you yesterday, would you have really left?)

He smiled at her and kissed her forehead.

"Tumhe chorh ke kaise kahin aur ja sakta hun?" (How can I go anywhere else leaving you behind?)

She turned her head away, teary-eyed. "Mujhe nahi pata. Aur pata nahi ap ke office mein bhi kitni larkiyan hoyengi jin se apki rozana baat cheeth hoti hai." (I don't know. And who knows how many women you interact with at your office every day?)

He held her chin, turning her face towards him, but she kept her gaze lowered. "Emaan, meri taraf dekho." (Emaan, look at me.)

She raised her gaze to meet his while he watched her every move.

"Is se kya faraq parta hai ke mere saath kon kaam karta hai yan meri kis ke saath interaction hoti hai jab meri nazrein toh sirf tum pe hain? Aur meri baahon mein bhi sirf tumhari hi jagah hai." he said, tightening his hold around her. (Does it matter who works with me or whom I interact with when my eyes are solely fixed on you? And it's only your place in my arms.)

"Apne keemati heere ko chorh ke bekaar patharon ke peeche kyun bhaagun me?" He wiped her tears with his thumb. (Why would I chase worthless stones when I have a precious gem?)

She blushed, unable to control a small smile, and lowered her gaze out of shyness.

"By the way, I have something for you." He pulled away and opened the side table drawer.

"Kya?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement. (What?)

He took out a small box and revealed a delicate diamond bracelet.

"Yeh mere liye hai?!" she asked, eyes wide and lips slightly parted. (Is this for me?)

"Yes, baby." he smiled, feeling happy seeing her joy.

"Phir pehnaye na mujhe." she said, extending her wrist. (Put it on me.)

He chuckled at her eagerness, quickly fastened the bracelet, and placed a soft kiss on her wrist. The bracelet was so lightweight she could sleep in it comfortably. Little did she know, it contained a tiny GPS chip inside one of the diamonds.

"Aur yeh tumhari favorite chocolates."  He placed a box of Ferrero Rocher in her lap, making her eyes twinkle. (And here are your favorite chocolates.)
