As the sunrays kissed Emaan's face, she snuggled into Arzal's chest. His fingers tenderly stroked her hair, easing her into relaxation.
"Good morning, baby," his voice whispered into her ears, rousing her from sleep. With a swift attempt to sit up, she winced at the sudden pain, falling back onto his chest.
"Dhayan se meri Jaan." (Careful, my love.)
He gently helped her sit up and placed her on his lap. "Hmm?" He raised his eyebrow at her, who looked at him in confusion.
"Kya huwa tha kal?" (What happened yesterday?)
"Punish..punishment." She answered him with her eyes casted down.
"No, baby. That was not even close to a punishment. That was just..a demo."
Her eyes widened. If the demonstration was this bad, she dreaded to think how much worse the punishment would be. Goosebumps prickled her skin at the mere thought.
"Now, don't even think about disrespecting or talking back to me. And never, and I mean it, NEVER EVER take off this ring again." He lifted her left hand and jerked it, indicating the ring sitting on her finger.
"Understood?"
"Y..yes." She mumbled.
"Louder. Kal toh bohat awaaz nikal rahi thi."
"Yes." She spoke a bit louder this time.
"Kya samajh aya hai?" (What have you understood?)
"T-to not disrespect you or talk back to you. And to never take of th-the ring."
"Good girl."
"You're such a good girl. You just lack some manners, but I'll fix that. You're imperfect right now, but I'll perfect you for me because I am a perfect man who likes all his things perfect."
"Nobody is perfect; My api says that only God is perfect."
Arzal chuckled at her.
"I'm no less than a God."
Mature content ahead. (Ink)
"Subha subha tera muh chalne lag gya hai, let me put it to some good use then." He laid her body on the bed and got on top of her.
Mature content has been trimmed.
"Fuck..I don't mind waking up to this for the rest of my life." He muttered under his breath.
"Let's take a bath, princess." He picked her up in his arms and proceeded to the washroom.

After dropping Emaan to her house, Arzal left for his office.
As she entered the house, Emaan found her mom cooking in the kitchen. The moment her mom spotted her, a warm smile adorned her face.
"Arey, agayi meri bachi. Irtaza kahan hai?" she inquired.
Emaan looked at her, momentarily taken aback. "Irtaza ne ghar drop kiya haina?" her mom continued. (Irtaza dropped you off, right?)
"J-ji, ami," Emaan replied nervously, a lie escaping her lips.
"Andar bulati na. Chai banake deti me," her mom insisted. "Teri phupho ki tabiyat bari kharab thi, Icliye mene Irtaza ko boldiya tujhe ghar pe rakhle." (You should've invite him inside. I would have made tea for him.) (Your aunt wasn't feeling well, so I asked Irtaza to keep you at their house.)
"B-bata...bata rahe the jiju" Emaan stammered. (Brother in law told me.)
Her mom nodded, referring to her sister in law. "Ab kaafi behtar hai Sadiya." (Sadiya is doing much better now.)
"Tu ja haath muh dho le, me khana lagati hun." (You go freshen up, I'll serve you food.)
"Ami, breakfast kar liya tha..a-api aur j-jiju ke saath, Emaan interjected. (I've already had breakfast with Aapi and Jiju.)
"Mujhe thora headache hai, thora sojati hun.", she said to her mom, excusing herself. (I have a bit of a headache, so I'll lie down for a bit)
As Emaan made her way to her room, she limped slightly. Her mom noticed and asked, concerned, "Emaan, taang pe kya huwa? Chhott lag gayi?"
(Emaan, what happened to your leg? Did you hurt yourself?)Emaan quickly fabricated an excuse. "Ami w-woh..paun mein moch agayi hai." (Oh, it's just a twisted ankle, ami.")
Her mom frowned, sensing something was amiss. "Hmm..Jao tum..garam kapra laati hun me." (Hmm... Go rest. I'll bring a hot compress for you.)
