The next morning, I woke up in my hotel room, the memories of last night still a blur. As I gazed at my finger and saw the ring glinting in the morning light, I knew it was all real—I really was Zac's fiancée. Just then, I heard a knock on the door. It was room service, though I hadn't ordered anything. They came with a big breakfast tray and a large bouquet of red roses.
"Mr. Efron ordered these for you," the attendant said, handing me the bouquet.
I thanked him, and before I began eating, I called Zac to thank him.
"Good morning, my fiancée," he answered cheerfully.
"You didn't have to do all this, Zac," I said, smiling despite myself.
"It's the least I could do for you," he replied. "I still can't believe I proposed to you last night."
"Me neither," I said, looking at the ring again.
After breakfast, I decided to call my parents first to share the news. I didn't say anything; I just showed them my hand with the ring on it during the video call.
"Nora, is that what I think it is?" my mom asked, her eyes widening.
"Yes, Mom. Zac proposed last night," I said, tears of joy filling my eyes.
"Oh, sweetheart, we're so happy for you!" my dad exclaimed.
"We're so proud of you, honey," my mom added.
After calling my parents, I moved on to my friends. I dialed Sabrina first, my confidant and closest friend.
"Hey, Nora! How was the interview?" she asked as soon as she picked up.
"It was amazing. But I have something even more incredible to share," I said, trying to contain my excitement. I switched to a video call and showed her my hand with the ring on it.
"Oh my God! Is that...?" Sabrina gasped, her eyes widening.
"Yes, Zac proposed last night!" I exclaimed, unable to keep the joy out of my voice.
"Wow, Nora! I'm so happy for you! This is unbelievable!" Sabrina said, practically bouncing with excitement.
"I know, right? And guess what? I'm going to meet his family this afternoon," I added.
"That's huge, Nora! You'll be great. They're going to love you," Sabrina assured me.
Next, I called Leila, my other close friend and confidant.
"Hey, Nora, what's up?" Leila greeted me with a smile.
"I have some incredible news, Leila," I said, switching to a video call and showing her the ring.
"No way! Did Zac really propose?" Leila asked, her jaw dropping.
"Yes, he did! And I'm going to meet his family today," I said, grinning from ear to ear.
"That's amazing, Nora! Congratulations! And good luck with his family. You'll be amazing," Leila said, her eyes sparkling with joy.
Finally, I called Niall, my agent, musician, and friend.
"Hey, Niall, got a moment?" I asked.
"Of course, Nora. What's up?" he replied, his tone curious.
"I have some big news," I said, switching to a video call and showing him the ring.
"Wow! Is that what I think it is?" Niall asked, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Yes, Zac proposed last night! And I'm meeting his family this afternoon," I confirmed, unable to stop smiling.
