Ela marched into her and Refa's uma and slammed the door, causing a loud bang. She was, as always, determined.
She spotted her husband on lying on their bed, staring at the ceiling, probably trying to sleep.
Ela closed the uma's door behind her and started to walk around. Refa's tired yet frustrated eyes followed her.
"I overheard the servants." She started.
"You were eavesdropping on purpose." Refa said.
"Not my fault that I can't resist gossip. Anyways, I'll tell you about it."
"I don't need to hear about anything that comes out of your mouth."
"Whatever, I'll rant to you anyways."
"Ugh..." Refa shuts his eyes.
"You know that little girl." Ela continued.
"Woman, this kingdom is full of little girls."
"No, I'm talking about her." Ela emphasised on the word 'her'.
"WHO." Refa yelled out angrily.
"Dear, please control your temper." Ela said cooly.
"I have no fucking clue who you are talking about and I don't think I want to know." Refa said, rolling on the bed to face his back to her.
"I said I'd rant to you anyways so suck it."
"I'll just pretend you don't exist..."
"Our son's little girl is back, I knew that I had to lie to him that she wasn't of high position... No daughter of a whore can be considered a liurai-oan..." Ela said distastefully.
"Your children's father is a womaniser, like any other man like me. That is no different." Refa stated bluntly.
"You'd insult yourself just to go against me?" Ela walked in front of Refa, offended.
"Yes." Refa said. "And I don't regret anything about it."
"You're a lost cause" She scoffed "Anyways, I am determined-"
"You're always determined." Refa interrupted, to which Ela stared at him with wide eyes, offended. He laughed at her reaction.
"May you shut up!?" Ela asked furiously.
Refa continued laughing.
Ela snapped her head away from Refa. "Whatever." She said. "Anyways, I am probably sure that in a matter of time that girl will have Lukufai wrapped around her finger again."
"Let the boy have friends, Ela!" Refa snapped.
"No! This is not about friends!" Ela said aloud. "Her mother has done it, twice! And she will be no different. I have found a girl for our son but it seems that fate loves to be against me. I will do anything to separate the two."
"Ok, what are you going to do then?" Refa asked.
"Night markets attracts young girls, and I know she will be there." Ela said, a mischievous smile slowly growing on her face.
"Ok woman that is enough. I'm blowing the candle." Refa said bluntly.
Ela went over and laid down on their bed as Refa blew the candle.
"Have nightmares." Ela said to Refa as she closed her eyes.
"Die." Refa said to her, before finally falling asleep.
