Haerin's search for her lost phone had reached a frantic pace. She dashed from room to room, her heart pounding as she retraced her steps. The house, usually a beacon of order, was now in disarray as she checked every drawer, under every cushion, and even in the refrigerator out of sheer desperation.

Minji, who had come over earlier to help with dinner, noticed Haerin's growing frustration. With a curious glance, she walked into the living room. "Hey, you look like you've seen a ghost. What's going on?" Minji asked, her gaze sweeping over the cluttered space.

"I've lost my phone," Haerin replied, her voice tinged with panic. "I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find it."

Minji's face softened with a hint of amusement. "Maybe you should take a deep breath. Sometimes stepping away helps clear the mind."

Haerin sighed, her shoulders relaxing slightly. "You're right. It's been such a hectic day."

Minji strolled over to the kitchen counter where a small, neatly wrapped box sat. "Speaking of phones," she said with a playful grin, "I have a little surprise for you."

Haerin's curiosity piqued as she glanced at the box. "What's this?"

"Open it and see," Minji encouraged, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Haerin carefully unwrapped the box and gasped when she saw a brand-new phone inside, still wrapped in protective plastic. "Is this...?"

Minji nodded, her smile warm. "Happy anniversary. I noticed you were having trouble with your old phone, so I thought I'd get you a new one."

Haerin's relief and gratitude were palpable. "But how did you know?"

"I pay attention," Minji replied, winking. "Besides, it's not every day you lose your phone and get a new one in return."

A laugh escaped Haerin as she looked at the thoughtful gift. "Thank you, Minji. This is really sweet of you."

"You're welcome," Minji said, pulling Haerin into a comforting hug. "Now, why don't you take a break and we can enjoy some of that dinner you've been working so hard on?"

Holding the new phone in her hands, Haerin felt a profound sense of gratitude. The gift was more than just a replacement for her lost device; it was a testament to Minji's thoughtfulness and their special connection.

Minji sat on the stool, her eyes fixed on Haerin as she finished cooking. The kitchen was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of a perfectly seared steak, seasoned with rosemary and garlic. Alongside, Haerin had prepared a vibrant salad with fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, and a tangy balsamic vinaigrette. On another burner, a pot of creamy mashed potatoes simmered gently, the butter melting into the fluffy mixture. Haerin moved with practiced ease, her focus intense as she plated the food, ensuring that each dish was perfectly arranged.

Once she was satisfied, Haerin slid the two plates over to the island, her expression serious until she confirmed that everything was just right. When she finally looked up, she broke into a smile. Minji leaned forward, planting a soft kiss on her lips, then playfully peppered her face with a thousand more, making Haerin giggle as her face was squished between Minji's palms.

They ate with enthusiasm, the TV humming in the background on a random channel that alternated between serene landscapes and wildlife documentaries. Haerin noticed the familiar look in Minji's eyes and knew exactly what to do. Minji's laughter filled the room, and Haerin felt herself melt inside.

"I can't believe some stupid phone did all this," Haerin whispered with a smile, gently holding Minji's face in her hands.

Minji placed her hands over Haerin's and smiled back, "Believe it. That's just our connection. I was made to love you."

As they leaned in for another kiss, the TV screen displayed fireworks, just like that magical night when it all began.
