Two years slipped through their fingers like sand. The Durban moon waxed and waned, casting shadows on the shore. Anthony and Sanele clung to their love, but life had other plans.

Sanele's studies consumed him. The University of Zululand demanded late nights and early mornings. His laughter became scarce, replaced by textbooks and worn-out pencils. Anthony's messages went unanswered, lost in the digital abyss.

Anthony, in Cape Town, wrestled with loneliness. The psychology lectures blurred into a monochrome existence. The scent of old books turned bitter. He stared at the stars, wondering if Sanele was doing the same.
