Before we could continue on with our discussion, there was a knock on the door.

"Hey Gage, could you come here real quick?" It was the soon to be Beta, Mark.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a second," then he turned towards me. "You can go to your room now, but don't think this talk is over, we'll finish it later." With that he turned and left the room, while I just gave a tired sigh.

'Will things like this keep happening?' Callie asked softly

I won't lie, I almost jumped out of my skin in shock. I wasn't expecting to hear from her this soon, if at all. She is still tucked so far away in our shared mind, though, that it's a miracle I even heard her thought.

'If you want my honest opinion, then yes, I think things like this will happen a lot more often, but in the end it will make both of us stronger. Just like this right now, it's made you mentally stronger. Maybe not by much, but it has made you stronger, and it is with your growing strength that makes me proud to be your wolf.'

'Really?'

'Yes, really. Now come back and take control of your body because as much as I love being in control, this has been too long of control time for me.'

'Okay.'

With that she took back control of her body, but I was right under the surface, ready for the next time she needed me.

Callie-

We had been in my room for a while now, but I couldn't fall asleep. Don't get me wrong, I was exhausted, but I just couldn't fall asleep. I kept feeling like I was forgetting something. I just couldn't figure it out though and it was making me frustrated.

'Hey, didn't we leave all of our stuff at the lake?'

Oh my sweet lordy fudge monkeys, that was what I was forgetting. We left all of the stuff there. While we were there earlier I had found a few diamonds and rubies and I wanted to sell them.

I found things like that all the time there. I didn't actually go looking for them but they would catch my eye while I was sitting in the sand or swimming in the water. They weren't very big, about the size of a dime, but considering the fact that they were precious gems, even that size is huge.

'Yes, I can't believe we forgot about it. Granted we had bigger things on our minds, but still. I guess the question now is, should we go back there right now or go tomorrow?'

'I'd say let's go in the morning, but then someone might see us and want to know what we were doing with our stuff, and let's face it, neither of us want that to happen.'

'Well I guess we know what we're doing before we can sleep,' I thought to Sadie.

With that, I got up from my bed, put on some clothes, and left my room. The hall was empty aside from me, so I knew it was going to be easy to sneak out of the house. Or well, it should have been but of course, that didn't happen.

Even though the party ended a while ago, people were still down there and I could hear them from the top of the stairs.

'Well this isn't good. I guess we're gonna have to go through the window, besides it's closer to the lake than the front door is,' Sadie said.

'I guess you're right but I really didn't want to.'

'Why? It's easier.'

'I didn't want to because it'll be a lot harder to get back up to the room, whether we have a bag or not.'

I walked back down the hall and into my room without being noticed, again, looking for a way to make my return easier. I was hoping for a ladder, but let's be honest here, who actually has ladders lying around their house when kids are always running around? That's right, no one. No one would leave a ladder around for children to climb on and potentially fall off and get hurt. So my next best option would be rope.
