Renna ran through the woods, tears streaming down her face as the witches cackle followed. Branches slapped her across the face, cutting her slightly. Her legs pumped before she threw herself behind a trunk, her chest rising and falling trying to catch her breath.

Her pajama bottoms were tattered, ruining the cloud pattern on them. She was freezing in just her blue tank top.

"Renna..." the voice called out making her sob loudly. A shadow flashed between the trees emitting a scream from her. She bolted again but tripped on a root. Classic.

When she flipped around the witch was right there. Her ancient dress and perfect blonde hair scared the girl. Just how old was this lady?

"You are perfect," she whispered, reaching down and caressing her face. She slipped a ring with five stones onto her hand; aquamarine, coral, bloodstone, jasper, and labradorite. "You are going to do just fine."

Renna's eyes flew open as she sat up to catch her breath. That's when she noticed two things. The ring from her dream was sitting on her left ring finger which unsettled her, but that wasn't the worst one.

This was not her room.

It's decorated to her personality, but the walls were different. She definitely didn't have a bay window and the bed was too soft. She threw the covers off and raced out the room to find an unfamiliar hallway.

"Mom? Dad?" she yelled, running down the first steps she found.

In the kitchen she found three people. Two of which looked like she could be related too, but the third had strawberry-blonde hair. The female brunette stepped forward, her brows knitted together.

"Ren, Mom and Dad are gone, remember?" She softly said as the other two looked at her as if she grew a second and third head.

Renna had no idea what was going on, but she put her hand on her head and smoothed back her hair. "Yeah, I just had a nightmare that's all. I forgot for a moment."

"Go get ready for school, I'll have a mug of coffee waiting for you," the girl said giving her a quick squeeze.

Renna rushed back upstairs, flicking through her closet. She found a flowery dress that looked pretty and decided to put it on with some combat boots. Normally, dresses weren't her thing, but she felt oddly confident.

She scrolled through her social media as she made her way out of the house finding that the brunette with her was Elena, her sister. The boy was her brother Jeremy and the strawberry-blonde was her aunt Jenna.

"Hey, Bonnie," Elena greeted as they got into a car. Apparently this was Bonnie and she was best friends with a girl named Caroline (who seemed a bit superficial).
