The food was great and talking with Vox about random everyday things wasn't bad. It's this next part I'm trying to figure out to maneuver.

"So, where is this drone that you're hiding from me?" I ask Vox as we get back in the limo.

"There's one that was just launched not too far from here. It's close to this nice and classy bar I've been to before. We can grab that one." Vox explains. He then uses his hand to pull my face so that I'm looking at him, his other hand moves to my waist. "Then when you're done having fun with the drone, we can have some fun." Vox sounds excited.

Ugh, too close for comfort. I just have to play along a little longer.

"Can't wait, sparky." I poke his face with my index finger, which earns me a small static shock from his surprise. I'm not sure if he's surprised by my gesture or my silly nickname for him.

"Sparky, huh? That's a new one." Vox laughs.

I roll my eyes. "I don't want to think of the nicknames others have given you when you're this close to them." I act annoyed.

"You're right, you're absolutely right." Vox acknowledges, letting me go and peeking out the window. "Oh, stop here!" He yells to the driver, who promptly listens and stops the limo. "This is it." He states as he opens the door, gets out, and holds his hand to help me out.

I see the bar he was referring to earlier. It does look nice, a bit classier than the average demonic pub I've become used to. It looks like there's a line to get in. I'm sure with Vox we can walk right in. Though, Vox seems more focused on something else right now.

As Vox looks up at the sky, he holds his hand up as it glows light blue. From a far distance I can see a similar flashing light blue glow in the sky. That glow in the sky slowly becomes larger as it gets closer. After a few seconds the drone is hovering right in front of Vox and then lands in his hand.

"Oh wow." I act amazed. "It's a lot larger than I thought it would be." I mention as I look at it closely.

Vox laughs a little. "That's probably because they're up so high in the sky. They have to be somewhat large to capture all the images." He mentions. With the wave of his hand a controller with a small screen in the middle appears. He hands me the controller. "Why don't you give it a test run?" He asks.

"Really?" I ask excitedly as I hold the controller.

"Sure! Just hold that and it should fly. This one moves it side to side." Vox begins giving me directions. After a quick tutorial I have the drone flying just a little above the two of us.

I'm not really into drones, but this is a little fun. I like being able to see me in the camera. I notice that as I fly the drone a little way away the screen begins to get a little fuzzy. That's interesting. When I turn my head to look in the direction it looks like a normal alleyway to me. Maybe the camera is just struggling.

I send the drone down the alleyway to see if it can detect what the anomaly is, but as I get the drone down the alleyway, I lose sight of everything on the small camera. "Oops." I mutter.

"Everything okay?" Vox asks as he looks down at me. Before he can investigate the screen, I pull it away.

"Totally fine!" I lie. "Just went right instead of going left! I'm going to go grab it. It's just around the corner. I'll be right back. Then we can go inside!" I say cheerfully.

"Alright, be safe. I'll be right here." Vox states cautiously as he looks at his phone.

I run around the corner and see the drone still flying, luckily low enough for me to grab. I hold onto the bottom and stop the drone from flying. "Thank goodness, unharmed." I mutter, looking back at the camera. "I wonder what made it go haywire earlier." I tilt my head, confused.

As I look at the camera more, I can see my reflection, but slowly another figure appears behind me. As it does the camera becomes more and more fuzzy.

"What the-" Before I can finish my sentence a hand wraps around my mouth, making it so that I can't yell or scream. I try to move my feet to run or kick or do something, but the figure behind me effortlessly lifts me off my feet.

My surroundings slowly start to change. The alleyway I was in before becoming engulfed in dark shadows. Wait... shadows? Once the darkness dissipates, I'm back in a familiar scene of red wallpaper, older carpet and dim bulb lights. To make it more familiar, once I look next to me, I see my bed from the hotel with the outfits I decided against earlier still laid out on my bed. I'm back in my hotel room.

I'm finally released and take a big breath. I turn around and find that my captor is Alastor, go figure. "You couldn't have just called?" I ask, irritated.

Alastor shrugged. "I don't use those small pocket communicator devices. Now that they're small computers they'll just rot your brain." He calmly explains.

I roll my eyes. "Why kidnap me? You could've just told me what you were doing!" I argue again. I take a quick look over the drone and the controller. Nothing seems broken, but I can't get the screen to turn on either. Maybe the drone doesn't work here?

"I couldn't risk you screaming, and I didn't want Vox to be aware." Alastor tilts his head and narrows his eyes at me. "Plus, I wasn't interested in seeing how your night was going to end with the plan that you had." He throws in.

"Oh, trust me. I had no plans on following through with what I promised." I answer first, still holding onto the drone and controller. Then it finally hit me. "Wait... how long were you watching me?" If he knew the agreement I made with Vox back at the restaurant, how long had Alastor been around?

Alastor holds his hand out. "The drone and controller, please." He's not one for subtilty changing the subject on me. He must not want to answer the question.

I narrow my eyes. I want an answer. I hold the drone closer to me. "Answer my question." I state both confidently and in and irritated tone.

I hear the angry growl leave his throat before he makes his move. I have no time to do anything before his hand is around my wrist, holding on so tight that I'm forced to move my hand back and fingers apart. I yelp from the sudden pain. I don't think he broke anything, but it doesn't feel comfortable.

With the loose grip he grabs the drone and controller from me. He still hasn't let go of my sore wrist. Instead, he pulls me closer, causing me to yelp again from being pulled by the sore muscle. His eyes look like black holes with small red dots and his antlers have grown in size. He's obviously angry.

"Don't forget who you belong to, pet. You don't make demands." He growls out.
