The following afternoon the sun dappled through the leaves, casting a warm glow over the clearing where Timothy and Kristina had decided to rest and have lunch. The air was filled with the sounds of nature rustling leaves, singing bird pokemon, and the occasional rustle in the bushes. It was the perfect spot for a peaceful break after Timothy's recent success in capturing Kitvine.
Kristina was busy setting up the picnic blanket with cups and plates, while Mina helped organize the bowls for the Pokemon food. Timothy was focused on preparing sandwiches for himself and Kristina and the food for their pokemon. Mina then came to his side with the pokemon egg in her paws rubbing it now that the blanket was set.
Meanwhile, near the trees, Moon was using Confusion to pick a juicy red apple to snack on when he heard an excited cry from behind and turned to see none other than Aqua the Amoxan Vulpix whose eyes were sparkling with desire as she stared at the apple.
"Vulpix, " Aqua cried out in a pleading tone as she approached Moon hoping to have a share of the apple.
Moon, enjoying the attention playfully stuck his tongue out at Aqua's pleading expression for some of the juicy apple. He waved the apple just out of Aqua's reach.
"Vulpix, Vulpix," Aqua's pleading cries grew more insistent as she jumped up, trying to grab the apple.
In the unfortunate of being distracted by messing with Aqua. Moon's psychic grip faltered, and the apple slipped from his grasp. It flew straight into Aqua's head causing her to skid back. Startled and a bit annoyed, Aqua let out an angry yelp and shook her head furiously.
Moon's playful demeanor shifted to concern as Aqua glared at him. The next moment Aqua growled at Moon with a growl, before she fired a burst of bubbles at him.
"Woah Aqua, calm down!" Timothy called out his voice stern yet calm as he noticed the commotion from his position.
As he stood up he hurried over to the scene, Sage his newly captured Kitvine rushed ahead concerned about the disturbance that woke her up from her nap near the bushes. Sage attempted to mediate the situation by nudging Aqua and Moon, trying to get them to focus on something other than fighting, when that didn't work he used Vine Whip tosing them both in the air landing into Timothy's arms.
"Alright, both of you chill out now," Timothy said firmly as he held Aqua towards his chest and gave Moon to Kristina."Also, good job pulling them apart Sage," He said smiling at Sage.
"That's right no need to fight over an apple," Kristina stated."Next time instead of being a jokester share Moon instead so you don't cause a fight by accident," She commented.
Aqua and Moon both looked at each other realizing the situation had gotten out of hand, gradually they calmed down listening to their trainer's words. The apple, now slightly bruised lay on the ground forgotten.
"Now that you both calmed let's eat lunch," Timothy said walking over towards the blanket where the lunch was fully prepared and waiting for them.
"I pour water for the Pokemon and tea for me and Timbo," Kristina said putting a large bowl of water near the Pokemon food bowls and the two cups left in front of her and Timothy's plate with two triangle-cut sandwiches and chips.
The Pokemon eagerly gathered around the blanket. Mina after leaving the egg on Timothy's lap scampered over to her bowl with extra Peacha berries on top and started nibbling enjoying the taste of the Peacha berries. Kitvine slightly nervous about her new friends took his bowl over to a tree to eat by him. Moon and Aqua, now in better sports, joined in the east, with Moon glancing now and then at Aqua making sure there were no hard feelings. Rosemary slowly ate her food while brushing a wing now and then against Kristina's shoulder.
