Kristina was in the dressing room trying to comb through her hair."Come you should be ready to go, and here I can't even properly comb my hair into a ponytail," She muttered in frustration.

However, she didn't notice a familiar red-haired girl walking towards her wearing a long-sleeved pink dress shirt with a purple flame pattern on the shirt and the left upper corner of it, and she had on orange dress pants and nice shoes that matched the outfit."Maybe I can lend you a hand," She said, taking the comb from Kristina as she made her way behind her.

"Thanks, I never introduced myself last time. The name is Kristina," She said as the girl helped comb her hair into a ponytail.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Ruby, so is this your first Pokémon contest?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah, I gave it away easily, didn't I?" Kristina said with a sigh."What about you? Have you been in any Pokémon contests yet?" She asked.

"Yes, two Pokémon contests, one official and one was a simple contest where the winner got a Moon Stone in a small town on my way here," Ruby said."One ribbon currently you can look at," Ruby said as she pulled a red ribbon case out of her pants pocket and handed it to Kristina.

Kristina opened it to see five ribbon slots and one ribbon in the middle, which was red with a rose symbol and vine-like patterns on the ribbon.

'This ribbon is so beautiful, I can't wait till I get my first one

'This ribbon is so beautiful, I can't wait till I get my first one.' Kristina thought as she gazed at the ribbon in Ruby's ribbon case.

"There your hair is all done, do you like it?" Ruby asked.

Kristina looked in the mirror to see that Ruby had braided her ponytail." It looks great, you even braided it, thank you," she said as she handed the ribbon case back to Ruby."One day I got my first ribbon."

"Well, I hope we meet in the finals one day, good luck," Ruby said, walking off.

'Me and her in the finals, she thinks I will be a good enough opponent to take her on in the finals, and we just met.' Kristina thought, smiling happily and nervously about how she would do in her first contest.

Meanwhile, back in the crowd...

Timothy, along with Dexter and Leonardo, sat comfortably in their seats as the Pokemon contest was getting ready to start.

"So, let's get this contest going and see who gets to leave with the Moonfall City ribbon," Melody announced."A real beauty it is," She said, holding up a beautiful blue ribbon with a central medallion that was shaped like a crescent moon.

"Pikachu!" Mina cried out with excitement as she adjusted herself on Timthoy's shoulder to get a better view of the stage.

"Now, allow me to introduce the judges," Melody said, directing her arm towards a light blue curtain as it lifted and revealed three figures.
