Someone New-BANKS
'so please don't fall in love with someone new'finally, after weeks of my ankle being in a boot, it's healed.
"i missed my ankle being normal." i speak, and look at Billie, who's driving us to my parents house.
she has a small smile on her face and takes a quick glance at me.
"are you ready to meet them?" i ask her out of curiosity.
"yeah, a little nervous but," she shrugs.
this is her first time meeting Jane and Brayden. they've been wanting to properly meet her over dinner and that's what we're doing tonight.
Billie said that she would cook for us–i've never had her cooking before so i can't even judge her skills.
"we're gonna stop at the farmers market first, okay?"
"okay, i'll text Jane." as i do that Billie drives in the parking lot to find a spot that isn't too far and gets out to open my door for me.
"come on princess." i finally realize the tote she had on her shoulder and admire her outfit.
baggy jeans with a Tupac shirt, converse, a belt she thrifted. her hair was pulled back in a low bun and i can't help but stare at her facial features.
i love when Billie's hair is out of her face, i can read her mood better.
"you sure do love staring," she chuckles, and i snap out of my trance.
"sorry." i mumble, and Billie guides my hand to hold her arm. her sunglasses cover her eyes and she only removes them to talk about pricing.
without a doubt, i've had a crush on Billie for a while. i love the way she makes me feel.
since that first day when i met her, and since then she's only ever given me her full attention.
she really has changed.
Billie could be smoking with Giovanna or playing the game with King or at the gym with her brother and spend time with her family.
but she decided to spend her weekend with me.
"here princess." her voice catches my attention as i'm looking around and she hands me a freshly washed off peach.
i take a bite and it's the best peach i've had. it's sweet and the perfect texture. i put it in Billie's direction and she takes a bite, letting me enjoy the rest of it.
my favorite thing that Billie called me had to be princess. every time she says it, it makes me feel bubbly and nervous and giggly.
i finish the fruit just as we're walking back to the car and i offer to hold a bag.
"i got it baby, you just be pretty." she kisses my temple and opens the passenger side door for me to get in the car.
Billie puts the groceries in the back seat and i kiss her cheek as she does so, a small smile tugging her lips.
suddenly, she looks away from the backseat and at me, both of our breaths hitching quietly.
"let's get going, yeah?" she puts my seat belt on for me with a small smile.
but i see the little blush dusting her cheeks. the drive doesn't take long, and soon i'm unlocking my house with my keys.
"Jane? Braydon?"
