5 Years Later

We Are Gang reunion

Peem has been traveling for his work as a concept artist in the US. He works with Q and Toey for a film developed in Pixar studio. He comes home every 2 months, so I must content with hugging my dolls when he is not around.

It has been extremely busy at my work too. I work for a research facility in Bangkok as a Biochemical Engineer, finding ways to help kids with cancer. More importantly, I have been trying to help find develop regenerated cells to help Chain and Puns daughter, Chimi. She has been diagnosed with a rare liver cancer called Hepatoblastoma when she was one year old.

I was in a hurry to get home so I can pick him up, but it looks like he beat me to it.  His luggage is still in the hallway when I got home.  "Hey Cat, do you need me to help you unpack your luggage? I am bringing it in the room!!!", "No! don't touch it." Peem shouted from the den. He was rushing taking the luggage out of my hand. I found that weird since I normally do the heavy lifting while he tells me what to do. I missed my Peem so I rushed in to hug him tight and kiss him.

"Cat! Where are you? We're going to be late. Cat!" Phum has been shouting from the hallway. We were meant to be ready by 9 am but he seems to be clingier every time I come home from my trips that we ended up in bed until 10.

We are on our way to attend Beer and Fai's wedding.  I am excited to meet the gang again. It has been over five years since we all got together. After graduation, we all went our separate ways building our own lives with our other halves. Although we kept in touch regularly, it's always different when we physically hang out.  I only see Q and Toey since we three work together in the US.

"Ey Matt get your twins off my kids. They are as mischievous as you!". I heard Fang yelling as we walked in the hallway. "Hey, they are just playing. It's not like a ghost is attacking them. You need to chill Fang." Mick yelled back. "Tan, do something or I'll smack them". "Oy come here you four. Have some ice cream" called out Tan. Matt and Mick's 2-year-old twins, and Tan and Fangs two kids rushed to their dads to grab the ice-creams. "Now that my friends is how to keep the peace!" These kids are more chaotic than when the gang were in our university days. The twins seem to be in trouble a lot picking on Tan and Fangs kids. It seems like they wanted the attention of the two all the time.

"How's Chimi doing Chain?" Fang asked as he watched his kids holding a treat and handing it out to Chimi. "Ok for now, at least she gets to go out of the hospital once in a while" Pun weakly replied. "Babe eat up, you want more spaghetti? I know it's your favourite." Tan yelled from the table where all the food is being served.

"So, this is what a shotgun wedding looks like?", Phum jokingly said to Beer. "Well at least I got my girl quick. Took me only a month and bam we are expecting and married. It took you awhile to get together with Peem. You just cling and kiss each other first before dating," Beer replied. "Well Cat fell for my handsomeness, it can't be helped".

"Are you two talking telepathically? Phum asked while looking at me. "Well we have the brothers bond, right Peem?" "You are not brothers!" everyone yelled to Q. "Chill and be quiet or I'll make you all". "Fang you are still hot-headed as always" said Q. And the chaos started all over again and everyone started talking all at once.

"I can't believe she is pregnant and is starting to show. Speaking of kids, when are you both starting a family?" Q asked. "Well Puppy is still a kid, so I'll enjoy him as my baby for now". "Talk nicely or I'll punish you tonight", Phum replied winking. "Oh, nothing has changed huh", teased Pun.

Beer and Fai's wedding was hectic but went well. It was great to catch up with everyone again. I wished we get a chance to hang out together every few months or when there are special occasions.
