9.BASEMENT

Yunhee's POV

I had slept for An hour or two before I woke to use the washroom. I did my work before making my way to the nightstand to drink water. Only to find the bottle to be empty.
I sigh to myself before opening the door of my room and walking downstairs.

I walk towards the refrigerator, opening it and taking a bottle of water and pouring it into the glass. I drink from my glass closing the bottle to take it with me to the room. I don't want to walk downstairs again cause this mansion is no less than a Maze.

I walk towards the staircase,but some disturbing sounds make me stop on my track.I hear faint shouts and screams,as sweat forms on my forehead and my shoulders go stiff. I take a deep breath before turning around and looking across the lobby to find out. At first I think that it's my hallucination, but than I hear the voices again as I make my way up. I stop once again before coming downstairs,carefully with hesitant steps and keeping the water bottle at the table before making my way ahead. My footsteps echo in the silence as I move towards the direction from where the voices were coming.

I move forward in the hallway to the corner as the voices grow louder. My heart racing and my palms getting sweaty. My mind racing with thoughts
of what could be inside in the darkness of the Basement. Yeah it's the basement of the Mansion.

I open the door slowly, trying not to make any kind of noise.
The cries and screams increase as I walk down the dark staircase slowly ,my heart beating loudly in my ribcage. My mind screaming me to go back to my room and sleep. But my curiosity gets stronger leading me down to the dimly lit basement.

My eyes adjust as I look forward, instantly getting what's going on. Before me stands Jungkook with his back facing me,my eyes travel to the bloody sight of the man tied to the chair.
My eyes bulge as my throat goes dry, i shiver at the sight,while my hands shake involuntarily. I stumble backwards,but I hold onto the wall preventing myself from falling and hiding myself from getting into his view.

My body jolts up as the man screams once again,and I clasp my hands on my mouth to prevent any sound I make. Jungkook stabs the man mercilessly, while he screams and begs for mercy.
Tears roll down my cheeks at the frightening view in front of me.

Suddenly Jungkook speaks in a chilling voice.
Jungkook: : "This is the last time I asking. Who the hell did you do that for??"
Man: "I....r.. really d.. don't know...p.. please let....me...go....they...of..offered...me money....but....i...i... don't.....kno-"

Jungkook: "Then there's no reason for you to live." Jungkook spats while digging the knife into the man's ribs brutally making him scream with pain.

I never witnessed such violence all these years after that incident. But now I am seeing a monster thirsty for blood taking the poor man's life. I hated Jungkook...but I thought he might have some humanity. I was wrong,he is a monster and monsters don't have feelings.

I move from my place as I surely need to get out of here. But his voice stops me.

Jungkook: "Leaving so soon Mi Querida. The show is still on." My body goes stiff as he turns around,his cold eyes finding mine. As if he knew where I stood exactly. He steps closer to me like a predator he is.

My voice getting caught in my throat,my whole body shivering...while my eyes filled with moisture.

Yunhee: "I...I am sorry,I just heard the screams. I should go." I speak my knees going weak under his intense gaze and my legs getting wobbly.
He grabs me by my arm pulling me closer,while he brings the knife closer to my throat. I gulp,as the bloodied knife touches my skin, making me Shiver.

Jungkook: "Scared little kitten, unfortunately curiosity kills the cat.Now you'll only leave once this man dies."He says his voice turning deadly.

Yunhee: "What?? Whyy???" I question my voice barely above a whisper.
Jungkook: "He needs to, how about you do it little kitten??"
Is he joking or something I think,but all my thoughts get cleared once I see his serious face. Who am I kidding?? He doesn't joke.
