It had been a couple of weeks since Jungkook had drained the boy who couldn't talk. They had laid low for a while – not wanting to kill too many people as that could turn the area into a police infestation. So, instead of people, Jin and Jungkook quenched their thirst with blood bags and the occasional sip from drunk people, who wouldn't remember what happened later on.

Every day felt mundane, ordinary, the usual. And the blood definitely didn't taste as well as having prey to fuck and kill afterwards.

Jungkook remembered the boy for a long time. He was his latest fuck, and kill – even though the way it happened didn't fit his idea of a Perfect Snack.

But change was in the air.

Tonight they'd go for another kill, the full experience. Jin had said he'd found the perfect place – far enough away from where they'd killed before and with all the different jurisdictions, it would take a while for Law Enforcement to put one and two together.

Drinking from his bottle of water, as they waited for the sun to go down, Jin turned on the news.

"...Found another body near the river. There has not been any information from the police as to whether they have a clue who is behind the recent murders."

Jungkook turned towards the tv-screen.

"Strange things started happening about three weeks ago. It all started with two girls, found dead at a beach party. Then the car in which 2 children were found dead and their mother and friend nearby, also dead. They're just the first in a series of murders with all one thing in common; the killer made a mark on their neck to indicate their 'vampire'-formula. Police officers on the scene say they're baffled as to how these victims were completed drained off all their blood. They are now desperately seeking for more information, hoping one or more witnesses will come forward-"

Jin started laughing. "They still don't believe vampires exist," he said, shaking his head. "How ignorant can they be!"

"You used to be one of them," Jungkook replied.

Jin cocked an eyebrow. "That was a long, long time. I don't even remember how it feels to be human." He stretched his tired body, moaning inwardly.

Jungkook turned away from the tv-screen and looked towards the windows. "It's getting dark again," he said more to himself than to Jin.

"I'm thinking we might need to lay low a bit longer, JK."

Jin's words felt like a punch to Jungkook's chest. "What?"

The older vampire turned to him. "Did you not hear the news?" He pointed at the tv. "I'm pretty sure this will have more people coming over. We need to be careful."

"Isn't that why you suggested going to the other side of town?" Jungkook said. "A two hour trip, far away from our last kills so Law Enforcement wouldn't connect the two areas together?"

Jin sighed. "Yeah, I know what I said. I'm just not sure if we should."

"Why not? We can take precautions. Let's just go out and have some real fun."

Jin rolled his eyes at Jungkook's comments. "You know I would love nothing more-"

"Then let's go!"

"Look, I have a lot more experience with this as you do. Did you forget I was the one who had to flee not once, not twice, but three times from a place I'd made my home?"

Jungkook gave him an exasperated look. "Yes, yes, yes, I know all about those stories. You've told them like a hundred times already."

"Then you know I don't take these type of decisions lightly," Jin said as he stood up and walked to their kitchen, opening up the fridge. "Look. We still have plenty blood bags. How about we stay in-"
