Jasper sits on the edge of the porch, his legs draped over the side. He's dressed more casually than when I saw him last. His attention is focused on the ground in front of his. He looks tormented. Whoever that lady appeared to do a number on him. His head snaps up as he hears me approach.
"I told you to stay here," he huffed, folding his arms.
"The last man that told me that got his car stolen. Besides, I needed to go for a run," I retort snidely. He smirks at that.
"I apologize, your Majesty," I say casually.
He pushes off the side of the porch. In a few steps, he's in front of me. His hands dart out, wrapping one of them around my hip.
"Sorry to bail on you earlier. I didn't expect Rosia today," he explains, his expression falls a little. "She definitely did not have an appointment, by the way."
I snort. "Who is she?"
"Why? Are you jealous, baby," he teases. I roll my eyes, pushing his chest.
"Absolutely not. You're free to do anything you want. Whatever this is," I use my index finger to motion between us. "Is strictly casual. Non-commital."
"I like the sound of that," he grins.
"Of course you do," I scold lightly. "But seriously, who was that?"
Jasper sighs, running his hands through his chocolate brown hair, ranking it back before it cascades back down. He looks frustrated and conflicted all the same. His eyes scan mine as if he's unsure I should know.
"She is the leader of the Rebellion," he admits.
"Really?"
He nods. "And I want you to stay away from her. She's dangerous, honestly. It's bad enough that she's still tied into the transition of leadership."
"Dangerous how," I ask, my eyes searching around us to make sure we are alone.
"Unpredictable, mostly. But she can also be violent. She's very morally grey," he adds. "Enough about her, I wanted to continue what we started earlier."
I choke down a smirk. "I'm good, actually. I like watching you squirm for my attention."
He growls lightly in response. In a second, he grabs me tightly against his chest. The broadness of him suffocates me for a moment. Tossing me quickly over his shoulder, he carries me back in the Castle. I slap on his back.
"Put me down, you dumb brute," I bite out, hammering on his back. He chuckles.
"It's a crime to assault your King," he grits out, his voice rather light.
"Oh yeah. And what's my punishment," I challenge. "Besides putting up with your overly inflated ego?"
My ass stings as he slaps it hard, causing me to yelp out into the air. I punch his back harder than before, squirming desperately to break free, but his grip is unyielding. My efforts do nothing to loosen his hold.
Soon, he opens a door and carries me into an unfamiliar room. The rich scent of oak fills the air, permeating every corner. The room reeks of his presence. With a casual yet powerful motion, he tosses me onto a bed.
I giggle lightly as he pulls his shirt off in one swift motion. My eyes are glued to him. Jasper is incredibly fit, and the broadness of his body exudes an otherworldly masculinity. Slowly, he crawls onto the bed, caging me between his powerful arms. He dips down to kiss me for a brief second before kissing and sucking down my neck. I moan light as he nibs my skin.
It's been a long time since I've been with anyone. The last person I was with was back in my old pack. He was great, but we were also young and inexperienced. I just need a casual release for once, especially after all the bullshit.
