Chapter 12

AUTHOR+YN'S POV

~The day of the tournament~

"Everyone get inside the bus we'll be leaving soon!" Papazola announced to the participants and went inside.

I was talking to Ying and Yaya about something and they were definitely pumped up for the match.

A huge line was formed to get on the bus. Most of the boys were already seated. Ying and Yaya sat together and I looked around to find a seat since most of the seats were filled.

Gopal entered and was about to take a seat next to Boboiboy but he immediately got kicked. A small yelp escaped his lips as he looked at him.

"Y/N.. looks like you can't find a seat. You can sit with me if you want" Boboiboy said and patted at the spot next to him.
"Thanks" I smiled and sided Gopal a bit so I could sit next to Boboiboy.

Gopal tch'd at his bestfriend's betrayal. He was gonna take revenge sooner or later. For now, he decided to take a seat next to Fang. Fang didn't really welcome his presence but he had no other choice so he just let it be.

Boboiboy could feel his heart race just by sitting next to his crush. He wasn't expecting it would end up so hard for him. He wanted to make some conversation but didn't know how to start.

I, on the other side, took out my earphones and plugged them in.

'Is she gonna wear earphones all the time? So that means I won't be able to talk to her'  Boboiboy thought to himself.

From the corner of my eyes I could see Boboiboy frowning a bit.

I took off the earphone of one side and held it infront of him.
"Wanna share?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.
"Thank you" he plugged in the earphone and waited for the song to play.

I went to my playlist and looked at him.
"I don't think you'll like the songs I have" I said and he raised an eyebrow.
"Why do you think that?" He asked curiously.
"Well.. I just feel like our music taste is completely different" I replied.

"What do you think I listen to?" He asked with a smirk.
"Um.. I don't know probably something Rocky" I replied making him chuckle.

"I don't think I have a particular taste in music I just listen to whatever catches my eye or ears.." he explained with a sheepish smile.

"Is that so..?"
"Yes, you can play any song you like. I really won't mind"
I went through my entire playlist to select a song but I was so confused that I decided to just shuffle and let the fate decide.

I closed my eyes thinking which song would get played first.

"I know this song.. Ying once sang this song she said she likes this artist" Boboiboy explained once he recognised the song.
"I love this song too"

The songs kept shuffling and we enjoyed it quietly. Both of us hummed a bit to the lyrics. None of us spoke a word but it wasn't awkward. We liked the peace.

Even though Boboiboy preferred talking but he didn't mind this. He was enjoying this moment a bit too much.

My eyes widened when this song came up. I wasn't expecting it to play. I switched on my phone so I could change the song.
