Kiara
Dad had us straight with our condo and we both have cars we also waiting to see if we got accepted into the colleges we applied for the trial is going on still and he has about three sentences two counts of rapes , two counts of murder and kidnapping.
We are straight with expenses but we decided to still work so dad had hooked us up working at one of his business.
So while we wait to see if we got accepted into any of the colleges we applied to we are going to work and everything.
Today was our first day at work we work at his beauty shop as receptionists so we got to know the owner she and our dad are dating he introduced us to her.
Plus we got accepted in to Clark Atlanta University we will be both majoring in social work and we are so excited we start the fall semester then we also took pregnancy tests and we are indeed pregnant.
So we go to the gynecologist this week so we can see how far along we are and how the babies are doing and everything.
Plus that fraud ass man got life sentence for rape, molestation, murder and fraud and also they money he was using was not his so that had to be paid back to us and so it is now in our bank accounts.
I got up and went straight into my bathroom yes we both have our own bathrooms and everything dad hooked us up and everything which is good

I finished up, smoothing down my new work blouse. We looked good. More importantly, we felt safe. No creeping dread, no anxiety about who was watching or waiting. Just the simple excitement of a new job.
We drove our new cars to the address Dad had given us. It was a beautiful salon called "The Crown"—all big windows, chic gold accents, and a steady stream of well-dressed clients walking in and out. It felt expensive, but warm.
Dad was already there, waiting by the reception desk. He didn't just point us to a spot; he officially welcomed us.
"Ladies," he said, beaming. "This is it. This is Layla's empire, and now it's your workplace."
He turned to the woman standing beside him, who was as elegant as the salon itself. She had a kind, open face and was wearing a bright, contagious smile.
"Layla, my beautiful, smart daughters, Kiara and Kiana. Girls, this is Layla, the owner of The Crown, and someone very special to me."
Layla gave us each a gentle hug that felt genuinely warm. "It is so good to finally meet you. I've heard wonderful things. Welcome to the team. You two are going to be wonderful receptionists, and honestly, I'm just happy to have you here."
She walked us through the desk setup, showing us the appointment software and the cash register. We watched her work for a few minutes—she was fast, efficient, and everyone who came to the desk treated her with deep respect. As we settled in side-by-side at the large desk, taking our first calls, I felt a deep sense of relief settle over me. We weren't hiding anymore. We were working, we were earning, and we were surrounded by good people.
This was exactly what freedom looked like.

A few weeks later, we finally got the email notifications. I saw Kiara jump up from the sofa across the room, staring at her phone with her hand clapped over her mouth.
"Did you get it?" I asked, my own heart hammering against my ribs as I rushed to open my laptop.
She just shoved her screen at me, her eyes tearing up. "Clark Atlanta University. Accepted!"
I didn't even need to look at my screen. We'd submitted identical applications, and moments later, my own screen confirmed it. We had done it. We were going to college—out of state, away from the past, and together.
"Social Work, fall semester," I confirmed, laughing as we hugged. Everything we had fought for, all the risks we took, were suddenly paying off.

The excitement gave us the courage we needed to face the other major question hanging over us. We bought two home tests that afternoon. We knew we had to be sure before we involved Dad or anyone else.
Sitting in my bathroom later that evening, the little plastic stick staring back at me, I felt a familiar, sickening flip in my stomach. I carried the test out to the living room where Kiara was waiting, her own hand clutching a test.
We placed them side-by-side on the coffee table.
One line was control. The other line was definite. Two pink lines. On both tests.
We were indeed pregnant.
A wave of complex emotions hit me. Sadness for the circumstances, fear of the future, but also a deep, fierce determination. That man might have taken our childhood and our safety, but he wouldn't define the life of the children we were now carrying. We would raise them with all the love and security we were finally experiencing ourselves.
The next morning, we set up our first appointments. We had a gynecologist referral, and we were going to see how far along we were and make sure the babies were healthy. We were ready.

Just when it felt like we had enough to process, Dad called later that week. His voice was tight with grim satisfaction.
"Girls, I just got off the phone with the lawyer. The trial is done." He paused, letting the weight of the moment settle. "He got a life sentence."
I closed my eyes. Rape, molestation, murder, and fraud. The list was long, and the punishment was absolute. His reign of terror was over.
Dad went on to explain the financial details. "They tracked down the money he was using. It was stolen, and it all had to be paid back to you two."
Within an hour, I checked my bank account. The figure staring back at me was staggering. Financial security. We didn't have to just scrape by; we could build the future we wanted for ourselves and for the babies. We were completely straight with expenses now, but we were both committed to keeping the job at Layla's salon. We had earned this new life, and we were going to work to keep it.
I went back into my beautiful, spacious bedroom—complete with my own bathroom—and felt a profound sense of peace. The past was sealed away, the future was bright, and the secrets were finally, truly, over.
