The bell rang all throughout the forest as Camille was woken up by it. Her and Hope had a good idea to have a trigger by the trap they had,so when the next Malivore monster came,they'd know. The group walked through the woods, a axe in Camille's hand as she trudged through the forest.
"I know this is important,but you couldn't have put pants on first?" Hope asked as Camille laughed,looking back at their headmaster who only wore a salvatore robe and slippers.
"Little early for snark,Hope" He replied as they continued to walk.
"it's not snark,it's being genuinely curious,i think we all would've been better off if you put pants on" Camille shrugged as Hope laughed,before Dorian spoke up.
"Any guesses on what famous monster from film land we get to slay today?"
"Ooo maybe it'll be a jabberwocky, or better yet-"
Camille's sarcastic remark was cut short when they came into view of the monster,which just turned out to be a horse.
"False alarm,it's just a horse" Dorian said.
"Must've gotten out of the stables and wandered across the barrier spell" Alaric assumed as they stepped closer,Hope coming to a realization.
"Except we don't have a white horse" She said as the horse turned around,revealing the horn on the top of its head. The horse began to walk towards them as Alaric held up his crossbow aiming to shoot. Hope and Camille stepped in front of Dorian and Alaric,pleading them to hold fire.
"It's a monster,it's here to take the artifact" Dorian spoke up as Camille looked at the two with confusion.
"You're not seriously suggesting we kill a unicorn?!" Hopes eyes widened as did Camille's,them thinking the same thing,
"I'm suggesting we don't give it a pass because it's cute" Dorian still held his weapon up,as Camille cleared her throat.
"Okay can't we just,like,leave it alone? it's trapped it can't go anywhere,it can't hurt anyone" She looked back at the unicorn before looking at the two teachers and Hope.
The teachers exchanged a look,before Alaric spoke. "Hopes right,as long as we keep it alive other creature won't be coming for the urn,so we just stay alert and let it be" He nodded as he put his cross bow back by his side.
"All right,well,i'll be on alert,back in bed" Dorian said as Alaric shook his head,the two of them walking off. Little had they known,the unicorn had sent two slugs into their world, each slug latching onto the back of each of the Mikaelson girls shoes,starting the spread of the slugs.
Camille laid in her bed,sleeping peacefully,as the slug made its way into her ear,the tickle of it waking Camille up,rubbing her ear as she did so. She woke up and sat up,a wide smile on her face as she did so.
She stood up happily,getting up and brushed her hair,singing to herself in the mirror,smiling the whole time. She didn't know why she was so happy,but she went along with it,she needed a break from her overly sarcastic,sometimes moody,self anyways.
Camille got ready for the day as she walked into the student lounge,seeing her cousin with Rafael,Landon and the twins at a table,deciding to go over to them,as this was her first time she had seen the twins since they got back from their trip in Europe,she mainly just wanted to talk to Lizzie,though.
"Good morning everyone" A bright smile on Camille's face as they said good morning back,sitting down as she kept the smile on her face. Landon and Rafael wondered why she was in such a good mood,but decided not to question it.
"Hello Lizzie,Josie,how was your guys trip? I heard Europe is really beautiful" She asked as the twins looked at her,confused but still continued to conversate with the overly happy girl.
"It was great,now,is everyone as excited as I am about tonight?" Lizzie asked as confused look crept onto Camille's face.
"What's happening tonight,if i may ask?"
Hope chuckled as she replied. "The schools annual talent show,all the factions compete" She smiled before looking up at Lizzie and Josie.
"You know,the witch performance wouldn't be the same without you two" This brought a smile onto the twins face,as they thanked her.
"Witch performance? that sounds exciting,would you two mind if i joined? It would be fun to join into the school spirit for once" Camille asked, hoping the girls would say yes.
"of course you can! but-" Before Lizzie could finish her sentence,the bell rung as Alaric began to speak into the intercom.
"If I could have your attention,last night we were able to capture a monster here on the grounds,we have everything under control but given this potential danger,it is with a heavy heart that I must postpone the talent show,hopefully we'll be able to reschedule this..unique event..at a later date,a much,much later date" He finished speaking into the intercom as students groaned and complained.
"There's no way he's canceling the talent show over a harmless unicorn,that's kinda dumb if you ask me" Camille shrugged as she walked off from the group.
A little later, Lizzie was able to convince her father to get the talent show back on,so now Camille was with Lizzie as she now was on stage,rehearsing their routine. In all honesty,she didn't quite like the routine. She would've much liked it better if she could do a solo singing,but maybe that was just the slug thinking.
The girls moved weirdly around each other, all stiff and not doing the moves on count as Lizzie snapped,the music stopping. "Looks like we haven't been practicing,and some of your outfits must have shrunk,the only one who should have an excuse is Camille,the rest of you lowlif-" Lizzie stopped speaking once she was zapped,gasping before she put a smile back on her face.
"But it's fine,we'll adjust,now from the top,and where is Josie?" Lizzie asked,and as if it was magic,Josie appeared from the back of the stage,a giant smile on her face.
"Where are the canes?" Lizzie asked as Josie smiled at her twin. "I don't know" She shortly replied.
"I actually went to go find them,right? but then I was thinking,I don't feel like stressing about it" Josie took a drink from her cup,Lizzie looking at her twin,confused as to where this energy came from.
"Y-you didn't want..? you know what,it's fine,why don't you just take your usual place" Lizzie asked her twin as Josie shook her head. "Ah,about that, I was actually thinking,I rally don't feel like being in the back row" She walked around the girls as she said that,smiling at Camille as she smiled back.
"Uh,well,I know you haven't been practicing,but i mean,if you want to be in the front,you-"
"I mean,I just think we should scrap that lame routine,right? do something totally different,it'd be super fun right? and without the canes,it'd be fun" Josie now stood in the front of the girls as she spoke with Lizzie,when suddenly she heard her name,and eyes on her.
"Camille,what do you think? do you want to sing? I feel like you'd be great for it" Josie asked her,her eyes widening. Any other normal time,she would've said no straight off the bat,but she wasn't thinking clearly,so she said the first answer that came to her mind.
"Absolutely" She said,beaming with a smile,the other girls looking at her,smiling.
