Later on that day, the talent show started,the vamps starting the opening act with a song Kaleb sung. Camille watched from backstage as she seen Nate on stage,dancing with the rest of the vamps. She cheered him and the rest of her friends on from back stage,smiling the whole performance.
Eventually she stopped watching,when Lizzie pulled her to the side,asking to talk to her.
"Why aren't you dressed yet?" Lizzie asked the girl as Camille sighed.
"Do we have to do this routine? you know me and you we could just ditch this thing,we could leave,go have some fun" Camille smiled as Lizzie smiled,before shaking her head. "As much as I would enjoy that, we have to win the talent show,it's a must we have to do every year."
Camille groaned as she shook her head,before looking back at Lizzie. "Well in that case,I better go get ready,but i just wanted to say, thank you Lizzie" Camille looked up at the girl,a confused look on Lizzie's face when she said that.
"Thank me for what?" She asked as Camille laughed softly.
"Thank you for being nice,and letting me do this,you've been so nice recently and I'm really loving this new you, I mean, i liked you a lot before but-"
"You liked me before?" Lizzie asked as she cut Camille off,before Camille went quiet.
"...I said too much,I should go" Camille attempted to laugh it off as she walked off,Lizzie grabbing her hand to stop her.
"No,no,tell me what you meant,please."
"Okay so maybe I have a small crush on you,but it's clear you like Rafael,so like I said, i'm gonna go now" and with that Camille walked off,leaving a very confused Lizzie stuck in her place.She shook her head,before calling out for Camille,running after her.
Camille stood in the hallway before seeing Hope and Landon,holding chains.
"Hope,Landon,what are you two sillys doing?" Camille asked, the two looking at her before hearing Lizzie from behind them.Camilles irises flashed green then suddenly,Camille had seen darkness,being knocked out
She woke up a few minutes later,her arms and legs bounded to a chair by chains next to Lizzie. "What the hell! why are you guys doing this?" Camille asked as she looked to Lizzie,who sat next to her,in the same chains. "Have you two gone crazy?" Lizzie questioned the couple as Camille shook herself in the chair,trying to get out.
"You two have been infected with a mind controlling parasite,that's why you've been so nice all day" Hope spoke as Camille stopped her movements,looking over at the blonde. Of course she would admit her feelings for Lizzie while she was under mind control,great.
"That is not why I have been— hey!" Lizzie was interrupted by Landon flashing a uv light at the blonde, as Camille laughed.
"I don't see any slug trails" Landon held her nostril up,looking into it with the light.
"What are you freaks talking ab- ow!" Lizzie yelled in pain as the two questioned what that was, Camille quietly observing.
"Unchain me and maybe I will tell you,you thrift store hobbit" Lizzie said,gasping as her bracelet shocked her.
"Then why are you acting so weird?" Hope asked the girl. "I am not acting weird,i am turning over a new leaf,with this, i spelled it to zap me whenever I said anything mean,and in increasing voltage,worst.idea.ever" Lizzie exclaimed.
"No,that's genius,that's why there's no slug in her,she's been zapping herself" Landon said as Hope nodded,going to focus on her cousin. She held the UV light up to her face, seeing the slug trails. Hope blew aximander dust into her face,whispered a quick electric spell, as she zapped Camille, Camille wincing in pain as a slug fell out her ear and onto the ground, Camille using what little wiggle room she had to step on the slug.
"Well isn't this just great,now get me the hell out of these chains" Camille stared as Hope went to undo her chains.
Later on,the talent show was redone,and now Camille and Josie were still being forced to sing,according to Lizzie,since the slugs brought out your uninhibited selves,Lizzie told the girls they still had to sing.The girls decided to sing 'Set Fire To The Rain' by Adele,and they honestly liked their song decision. The two of them hesitantly walked onto stage,where two backstage workers handed them microphones,as they walked into the spotlight,as the piano started to play.
Camille looked over at Josie,giving her a reassurance nod as Josie began to sing the first lyric.
"I let it fall,my heart,and as it fell you rose to claim it. It was dark,and I was over,until you kissed my lips,and you saved me" It was now Camille's turn to sing,as she lifted the microphone up to her,and began singing.
"My hands,they're strong,but my knees were far too weak,to stand in your arms,without falling to your feet"
"But there's a side to you,that I never knew,never knew,all the things you'd say they were never true,never true,and the games you'd play,you would always win always win" The girls sang together as the witches behind them began to dance, the light going all around the stage.
"but I set fire to the rain,watched it pour as I touched your face" The crowd began to cheer the girls on as they sung,the two girls now singing more confidently.
"Well it burned while I cried cause i heard it screaming out your name,your name" Josie began to walk around Camille,the two girls smiling at each other as they sung.
"I set fire to the rain,and I threw us into the flames,when it fell something died,cause I knew that that was the last time,the last time" The girls sung as they had sung the high note, Camille hearing Nate and Hope in the crowd,cheering them on,along with everyone else.
"Oh,oh no,let it burn,that was the last time,the last time,oh" Camille and Josie finished off the ending note as the piano stopped playing,the crowd cheering and applauding loudly.
Later on that night,Camille sat in her room,brushing out her hair after a long shower when she heard a soft knock at the door,the knock hadn't sounded like Nate's usual taps, so she went up to the door,opening it to see Lizzie standing there.
"Hi" Lizzie said as Camille smiled at her.
"Hi."
"Uhm can I come in?" Lizzie asked as Camille nodded,letting the blonde in as she closed the door behind her.
"I wanted to talk about,uhm,earlier,with the whole slug thing?" Lizzie spoke as Camille looked down,scared at what she was going to say,so she cut her off before she could say anything.
"Hey look,I was basically slug drunk okay,we can just,forget about it and move on,okay?" Camille asked. She didn't want to move on from it,truth be told Lizzie didn't want to either,but Lizzie quickly nodded,as the two girls smiled at each other.
"Well I guess i'll see you tomorrow,goodnight Cami" Lizzie said as Camille smiled as she approached the door. "Goodnight" Camille said as Lizzie walked out,Camille closing the door behind her.
Camille shut off her lights as she went to go lay in her beds,bringing her blankets over her as she laid down,yet the only thing on her mind was Lizzie Saltzman.
