Lavender And Vanilla A Wonderful Scent

Placing my cup of hot tea on the patted floor next to me I lunch at Dogday and proceed to cry into the nape of his neck, I wasn’t crying because I was worried or anything but I hadn’t seen him in almost two days since the hour of joy and though Crafty and Bobby had come by and hung out with me for a while it wasn’t the same. Neither of them smelt like vanilla and though they both light up a room on their own why no one does it better than Dogday. Taking a deep breath in I can’t help the slight moan as his vanilla, butterscotch smell invades my nose and takes up residency once again. It wasn’t until I felt Benjamin wiggling around on the small amount of bed space between me and Dogday that I moved away letting the poor little guy breathe again.

“Y-yes I m-m-missed yo-you Idiot!”
I said picking up Benjamin and hugging him tightly to my chest which earned me a small squeak and a soft almost purring sound from the small yellow huggy. Dogday chuckle at my response and went to move closer to me but I moved away still clutching Benjamin to my chest and by the faint look of jealousy that crossed though his eye’s I could tell he’d like nothing more then to tear the mini huggy out of my arms and wrap his arms around me.

“I’m glad my little kitten, how did you sleep”
“Go-good, Be-benja-benjamin is a b-bett-better cu-cudd-cuddle b-bud-buddy th-then y-you”
Dogday placed a hand on his chest and looked at me in mock horror before I playfully punched him, a small giggle escaping me. After a few moments of my giggles and Dogday’s chuckling he wrapped his arms tightly around me and half tackled me to the bed, our tea’s forgotten on the floor. As we lay there comfortably on my bed, dogday curled around me and Benjamin still tightly clutched in my arms, I felt safe and loved. Though Benjamin couldn’t talk at all but had the mentality of a small child mixed with a dog and Dogday is a dog that just came back from killing and either ruining someone's life or lying smoothly though his teeth I couldn’t help it. At some point while I was pressed up against Dogday’s chest listening to what I could only assume was his heart beat I fell asleep, into a blissfully warm sleep.

Rose slowly and quietly creeps into the room with phone in hand and LunarrSuperr, Vickeeee214, -Mia_Editz- following behind Rose all snickering to themselves as they reach the bedside of Catnap's bed and all take photos of Dogday curled around Dogday and Catnap curled around Benjamin.

-Mia_Editz- warps a hand over Vickeeee214’s mouth and slowly all four of them back out of the room, Vickeeee214 all but being dragged out kicking and screaming. Closing the door quietly behind them.

When I next woke up it was to find Dogday still wrapped tightly around me and Benjamin, looking around the room where my eyes landed in the darkness outside the window. Now because the day night cycle is put on a timer and needs someone to bed there to flip a switch when the time comes I didn’t know if it was actually night time or early morning, slowly wiggling my way out of Dogday’s hold I walked down the stairs and into the kitchin looking at the clock I found if was ten in the morning. Stupid humans.
Getting dressed I walked back out of my room and out of my house, vaguely noting the off coloured CatBee that was sleeping on my couch. Walking though the neighbourhood while it's dark was one of the more peaceful times to do it seeing as no one was awake… scratch that Bobby was awake. The light coming from her living room window was admittedly the only thing I had to go on but it was out of the ordinary enough for me to assume she was up. Heading over to the exit of the playcare I walked up the stairs and into the overhead control room that sat just above one of the few exits for the PlayCare. Looking around I found what I was looking for. It was a relatively small button with the labe day under it, pushing the button I saw a small flashing light come on that read, ‘warning pg.49 p.3 ch.23’ confused I looked around, I knew that those were of where to go in a book but I couldn’t find said book anywhere. While looking for the book I bumped into a wall and felt something fall on my head, looking down I saw it was a book labelled ‘day & night of the PlayCare’ with an obnoxiously colourful front cover and me and dogday hugging. Rolling my eyes I pick up the book till I'm on chapter 23, page 49 and am looking at paragraph 3.

Yeah the book was no help… sighing I shrugged and looked over it again then back at the console laid out in front of me and saw that just above the button I pressed earlier was a digital clock that showed the current time and had a button on top of it that said ‘set’. And so with nothing better to do and not really understanding any of this I pressed the button, there was a shuttering sound as the sun started to move across the sky til it sat in its right place. Smiling to myself I walked back out of the control room and made my way back to the PlayCare. I'd tell bubba about this when I saw him but for now I planned on going back to sleep with Dogday and Benjamin.

It would turn out that I would not be going back to sleep when I got back home, seeing as Dogday and Benjamin were curled up on my living room floor crying their eyes out with half of my house splayed on the floor around them.
“W-wha-what t-t-t-the h-eh-hell!?”
As soon as I said that, Dogday got up from his wallowing and ran over to me, hugging me and making me fall to the floor with a loud yelp. When Dogday pulled his face away from my neck, he kissed me. He kissed me right on the lips and I didn’t know what to do so I just froze,he pulled back and looked me in the eyes, his eyes were half lidded and there was a spark in them that I had never seen before. Bringing his paw under my chin he lifted me up till I was on eye level with me and slowly moved back down, never breaking eye contact as he kissed me once again. Slowly I felt my eyes close and my body gave into what Dogday had started, kissing him back.

When Dogday had finally pulled away from me, something like lust dancing in his eyes but I couldn't be sure, after he stood he reached a paw down to help me up which I took with a big smile dancing on my face. When I got to my feet and was pretty sure I wasn’t going to fall over, Benjamin jumped up on my shoulder and started snuggling up to my cheek, which made me chuckle.
“Awwww I’m so glad you two got along so well”
Looking down at the off coloured CatBee my smile widened, knowing that voice anywhere
“Hu-h-huds-huson?”
“Hello again Catnap”
Practically running over to Hudson I scooped him up in my arms and hugged him, like I hadn’t hugged someone in years… I think Dogday is making me soft
