Past Sins
Khan listened to the man in his office talk away but his mind continued to drift back to meeting Camilla again for the second time. He didn't know what he expected the second time around but she was still so cheerful and full of life. Yet she was around one of the young men he formerly employed, a man who he knew could be the most evil person walking this earth. Sin was the same—if not worse than him in terms of handling people but somehow he had his daughter in awe of him. He seen it back at the charity event how she looked at him but what was even more surprising is the way he saw Sin looked back at her. It was something different and he just couldn't tell what it was.
"And I think that's all we need..." He saw his boss spaced out. "Khan?"
"Sorry, Tony." Khan snaps back. "Yes, that will be fine and I agree about moving that meeting up. Any updates on that last bid?"
"Your competitor just put in a higher one. Sintana, I believe was the name?"
Khan smirks. "Of course he did." He sighs. "I fear outside of the property this is personal for him."
"Sir?"
"My daughter that I told you about."
"Ah, I remember." Tony nods slow. "I thought you left her mother a long time ago."
Khan eyes go down to the photo his private investigator had gotten him of Camilla. "Rebecca eft me actually."
"A woman left you?" Tony hums impressed. "Smart woman." Khan glances up at him. "Please, you're not a saint and I for one know that."
"I'm not and she knew I wasn't but she still tried and stayed with me." Khan nods slow.
"So what really happened?"
"I think I was pass the point of wanting to change and trying to." Khan shrugs. "I was never going to stop doing what I like. Even if it meant being someone she hates. I wanted to still make money, deals, be in the light and live the way I want, and take out anything that moves in my way. We were entirely different on what we wanted and she just left....." His brows pulled. "No talking, shut me away and left. When I did call her and she finally answered she said she wanted me far away from her because she couldn't take it anymore."
