Valentine waited outside of the classroom Miguel and Demetri were in for the practice PSAT tests. His arms crossed over his chest as he watched someone occasionally make their way down the hall. When the school bell sounded, his arms fell from their place as he prepared to see Miguel and finally talk to him about what happened. A few students left the room before Demetri exited, followed by Miguel.

"Hey," Valentine spoke as he softly took hold of the sweatshirt that Miguel wore to turn him to face him. Miguel greeted him back in a soft tone. "Can we talk?"

Miguel nodded his head after turning to the sound of Demetri's voice when the boy let out "I'll meet you, " and pointed in the direction of the end of the hallway. "Yeah. Okay," Miguel responded before facing Valentine. "What'd you want to talk about?"

"I wanted to apologize," Valentine said as he fiddled with his fingers. "I know I should've introduced you, but it's just some stupid LaRusso drama and it got to my head. Doesn't matter, the main point, I'm sorry."

"It's fine," Miguel replied. But his tone still wasn't as cheery as he usually was.

"What's wrong?" the Gonzalez boy asked. "If it's about the test, I'm sure you did amazing."

"I was just a little... distracted," Miguel answered. Valentine's brows furrowed out of both confusion and curiosity. "The tournament. I don't have a lot of time to prepare, so..."

"Again, I'm sure you did great," Valentine complimented. A small chuckle left Miguel as his sights fell on his sneakers.

"So, what'd you do last night?" he asked the Gonzalez boy. Valentine shrugged his shoulder in response, "Just a boring family dinner. Nothing too special."

"I'd really like to meet them sometime," Miguel said, a glint of hope in his eyes. "I've never been to your house. I can come and meet the LaRussos." His words hung in the air, filled with anticipation. Valentine's face lit up at the thought, a smile spreading across his face. However, that smile quickly faded as a sudden wave of realization washed over him. "What?"

"Uh, nothing," Valentine shook his head. He flagged off his worry and turned his face upward to the Diaz boy. "I will see what I can do. But for now... I know a place where we could go and..." he leaned into Miguel's ear. "Not be interrupted for a while."

Miguel let out a soft, breathy laugh, the sound light and infectious. "I actually have to train," he responded, a smile dancing across his lips as he looked at the playful pout on his boyfriend's lips. In response, he pecked Valentine's lips and placed another kiss on his forehead. "I'll call you later."

"Okay," Valentine nodded his head.

"Y'know, I kinda enjoy this whole teen prisoner thing you've got going on," Valentine remarked as he watched Sam pace back and forth in her bedroom, plotting her escape after being grounded. The Gonzalez boy lay on her bed with his hands holding up his head. "I say you should just jump out the window and hope you don't break your leg."
