Maharaja Lord Shri Krishna blew his conch named PanchJanya then after Arjuna blew Devdutta conch shell and Bhimsen blew Paundra conch shell very loudly.
All warriors like Son of Kunti Yudhishthira blew his conch shell called Anantvijaya, while Nakul and Sahdev blew their conch shell called Sughosh and Manipuspak.
And all others warriors blew their conch shells from all their sides.
O Dhritarashtra, the hearts of your sons were torn apart by these different celestial sounds of the conch shells echoing in the sky as well as the earth.
At that time, Arjuna the son of Pandu mounted in a chariot with a flag bearing Lord Hanuman's insignia, raised his bow and prepared to shoot an arrow. Hey Rajan! Seeing his sons arrayed against him, Arjuna made the following promises to Lord Shri Krishna.
Arjuna said: O Achyuta! Please make my chariot stand between the two armies, so that I may see the warriors present for battle with whom I have to fight in this great battle. I wish to see here those who have come to fight to please the evil mindset son of blind king Dhritarashtra.
Sanjaya spoke: O Dhritarashatra! having been thus addressed by Arjuna (the vanquisher of sleep) Lord Krishna took that magnificent chariot and made it stand between the two armies.
In the presence of grandfather Bheeshma, Dronacharya and all the other kings, Lord Krishna Said: O Parth(Arjuna)! look at all these Kurus gathered here.
While standing in the middle of the armies of both sides, Arjuna saw his Uncles, Grandfathers, Acharyas, Maternal Uncles, Brothers, Cousins, Sons, Nephews, Great-grand Sons, Friends, Father-in-Laws and well-wishers.
Son of Kunti Arjuna, was seeing all his relatives present there for battle felt overwhelmed with compassion and spoke these words with deep sadness.
Arjuna said: O Lord Krishna! My limbs got tremble and my mouth dries up after seen my dearest relatives present here for war and with the intention of killing each other.
My whole body got trembles, My bow Gandiva is slipping from my hands and my whole skin is burning. My mind in stuck in a whirlwind of uncertainty and confusion, I can't hold my self very strong still. O Lord Krishna! Exterminator of Keshi Daitya, I see only relatives I can't see any of the welfare for killing of my own relatives.
O Lord Krishna! I do not even desire victory, Kingdom or Happiness thus acquired. What is the benefit of the Kingdom, the Pleasures or the life for which we long, they are all arrayed before us for battle.
All those my dearest relatives are present here ready to sacrifice their lives and wealth.
O Madhusudan(Lord Krishna)! Even if they attack me, I don't want to kill them. What gratification would we have by killing the sons of Dhritarashatra, what with the earth, but even by obtaining the kingdom of the three peoples?
O Sustainer of Life! What gratification will we get by killing Dhritarashatra's Sons? Even though they are tyrants, if we kill them, we will incur in definite sin. Therefore, it is not proper for us to destroy our cousins. O Madhava(Lord Krishna)! Why can we even hope to be happy by exterminating our own blood?
Their ideology is dominated by greed and they see nothing wrong in destroying their relatives or betraying friends out of revenge. However, O Janardana(Lord Krishna)! When we are clearly guilty of killing our relatives, why do we not turn away from this sin?
When a clan is destroyed, it's ancient clan tradition are also destroyed and the rest of the family starts to indulge in lawlessness.
With the increasing of predominance of sins, O Lord Krishna! Clam women become adulterous and depraved women become corrupt, O Varshney(Lord Krishna)! Unwanted offspring of hybrid peoples are born.
The growth of such hybrid offspring results in an undoubtedly hellish life for both the Clan and the Clan destroyer. With the extinction of the practices pinddan and tarpan, the deprived ancestors of such fallen clans are degraded.
All kinds of communities and family welfare activities are destroyed by their misdeeds who destroy clan traditions and thus raise unwanted progeny.
O Janardhana(Lord Krishna)! I have heard from the scholars that those who destroy clan, religion dwell in hell forever.
Ahh! what a wonder it is that we are willing to commit such a great sin. Overcome by the greed of enjoyment of pleasures, we are ready to kill our relatives. If the armed sons of Dhritarashatra meet me, unarmed and non-resisting in the desert, it will be a credit to me.
Sanjaya spoke: After saying thus, Arjuna laid aside his bow and arrows and fell upon the seat of the chariot, his mind overwhelmed with grief and sorrow.
