I sat in the backseat as I stared out the window of the moving vehicle while I got thrown left to right after every sharp turn it made. irritating me more and more by the minute. I was on my way to my new base with task force 141. I didn't want to be here, nor did I know exactly what I was here for just yet. the only orders I had been given were to get Intel on task force 141, its base, and the soldiers. i work for Hassan, therefore I am a terrorist to these people, but they don't know that. and I wont let them find out. I'm known for being good at misleading people, lies roll off my tongue like they're practically nothing. its a trait you learn to get good at after being on Hassan's side for enough time. he had managed to scrub any trace of me working with him, making it seem as if I've been on the same side as task force this whole time. I felt my hands start to sweat a little as I thought about what I'd gotten myself into. ive been out in the field multiple times on many different occasions, but being in the enemy's base is something I've never done, and it is a whole different ballgame.  I cant mess this up, you betray hassan and you'll be begging him to kill you. I shuddered at the thought of what he'd do if I screw this up.

I was shook from my thoughts as the vehicle came to a halt, the force of it pushing me forward ever so slightly. I unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the door, landing my feet on the pavement under me as I took the place in. it was huge, at least compared to the base I was stationed at by hassan. the two men that had driven me here both quickly hopped out of the car and had me follow them into the building Infront of us. leading me down the many halls they finally stopped at a door to which they opened and guided me inside. "thank you boys, you're both dismissed" a guy sitting at a desk table said. they both gave a curt nod and turned away to leave the room. as soon as the door shut behind them the man started to speak

"so, you must be y/n" he said looking at me with a somewhat authoritative gaze. I assumed him to be the leader, making him captain price. I had done some reading on most of the soldiers I would be working with. they were supposedly the best at what they do, as if I actually believe that. sounds more to me like they're all just walking around with inflated egos. I rolled my eyes at the thought before bringing my attention back to the man

"that's right sir" I said seriously as he eyed me as if to read me in the little time he had. he straightened up a little telling me his name and authority, already knowing who he was I greeted him and shook his hand. eventually his gaze fell on the other three men in the room. following his gaze I turned to them as well with the biggest shit eating grin I could muster. first impressions are important you know. he started introducing them one by one, firstly introducing the man furthest to the left, I learned his name was gaz. I smiled at him slightly and nodded my head at him, to which he returned.

then he introduced the second man, who was sitting on a bench swinging his feet back and forth not a care in the world. I narrowed my eyes at him slightly, confused as to why he was seemingly so happy considering we were literally at war. price told me that he went by soap, I snorted a little at his name quiet enough no one noticed. I read about him, i remember thinking it was silly then too, but soap definitely checks out for him. what kind of name even is that? his face lit up a little as he got up to greet me, he is way too happy for his own good. I nodded my head at him as well before price continued on introducing me to the last man on the right, I was slightly taken aback when I caught a glimpse of him.

he was extremely built, one of his arms were probably the size of my head times two. not to mention how tall he was, he stood several feet away from me and I still had to crane my neck upwards slightly to meet his gaze. which is when I seen the part of him that intrigued me the most. he wore a skull mask that covered the entirety of his face. the only thing visible were his eyes, making his expression nearly unreadable. price introduced him as ghost. I hadn't read about him, so I knew nothing about this man, so the fact he covered his entire face ontop of that didn't really help. he only grunted in response, staring down at me with an unreadable expression due to his stupid mask. I waved at him while flashing a smile to try to get even a greeting out of him, still, he said nothing. I finally just gave up looking back at price as he introduced me to all of them as viper, my call sign (may end up changing that, idk give feedback) and then changed the subject to where I'd be staying.
